Sonny Gray (and really most of these guys) being ahead of Kershaw. Wow. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/k/kershcl01.shtml Don't know if people have realized this, but he is pitching like prime Kershaw again this year.

Look at you rockin it like a twitter insider!

This isn't good satire.
-
I'm completely in on this.

That's because he is only on the team for like 2 weeks at a time.

That what the kids are calling it these days?

They can have all the LHPs they want. The Sox will destroy them. -

I would say teams should have at least 6 starters. Especially if some are young with injury histories. -

Story on MLBTR saying the Giants are more likely to buy than sell, as they are only 2 games out of a playoff spot. -

What the hell was Grandal looking at??? Just a terrible play allll the way around. You have got to be bleeping me. And a little league level of execution on the run down. -
Kind of wish they had kept Collins around. I like being able to play Grandal and McCann in the lineup together.

Me too. The depth in the system is starting the thin out a bit, and I think the team needs reinforcements for the next season or so, and they need trade capital for the next couple seasons. Maybe I am going to much John Paxson here, but I don't think so. If the Sox are trading a couple of their top level guys, I think they should get someone who will plug in for more of the future than a season and a month. I'd certainly trade for Lynn, but I think the most highly rated and closest guy I would trade would be Steiver. -

Completely agree. Dunning sure looked like he was about ready to contribute right now. Cease looks to be on the cusp of figuring stuff out. I don't understand why you'd trade either for a guy that was a pretty run of the mill pitcher until last season. I know he made some changes, but honestly I don't trust that Lance Lynn is one of the best 10ish starters in the game. And even if he is, he is in his mid 30's, and has 1 year on his contract. If the Sox are trading Dunning or Cease, much less both, then they have to be getting a long term stud in return. Because those guys could provide a heck of a lot of good innings over the next few seasons. Seriously, if anyone here had suggested trading 2 of the teams top 10ish prospects for a 33 year old pitcher over the winter... you'd have been tarred and feathered. And I know it is different now, with where the team is, stil though, why mortgage what we've been so patient building for a season that could be cancelled at any moment? -

Also it is kind of funny, in the span of like 5 posts there is the thought that Cleveland would need more to trade Clevenger to the Sox, but it is a foregone conclusion that the Braves are the team to whom the Mets would prefer to trade deGrom.
