  1. Wow. Legitimately surprised Dmitri Young didn't get there.
  2. Well maybe if you didn't have a history of saying ridiculous things about Abreu, people would take you as more than a joke. And I'm a Yermin fan, but it was one AB. In spring training. Abreu has 4K PA of a .860 OPS.
  3. Law's responses to some of the questions asked of him about Madrigal, are very, well Stone-esque.
  4. Does anyone doubt Tim can do this? I think what people are questioning is his OBP, which for example, Adam Jones, a good hitter than doesn't walk much, has a career OBP of .317. I think people are concerned that TA's OBP is too BA driven and some drop off is expected, and that could make him something of a liability at the top of the order. Personally, while I have been skeptical of Tim's D (just the lapses on easy plays drives me nuts really...), I think offensively, he is just getting started. Hopefully defensively too.
  5. Perfectly positioned for years of 2nd place finishes.
  6. I cannot even explain how much I hope the Sox draft this guy.
  7. 1) World Series, Game 2. Nothing close. 2) Sox- Rangers, Ventura hits a walk off Slam off of Goose Gossage. 3) Andy Hawkins, Yankee pitcher, no hits the Sox (doesn't get credit because he only threw 8 IP) and loses the game. 4)Konerko 2 HR game against the Cubs, Sox stage a huge comeback for a win.
  8. I'm afraid of what happens here next time Joc is traded.
  9. This is crazy. Honestly, it doesn't seem like Minnesota did anything Preller-ish here right?
  10. Sure its possible. He was a sub 800 OPS guy at A+; though, so did Mazara, when he was 18.
  11. This is great and really interesting, my only question is, where is the playoff data.
  12. Thanks. For some reason I don't remember that at all.
  13. Assuming that they'd be in a game 7 could be a reach. They still certainly could have won without cheating. But, you know, they didn't. We will never know the outcome of that series had it been played on level ground.
  14. Yeah, sorry I was catching up. I guess from my perspective I thought it was good because it is more than I expected. Someone (Tom Pickle maybe? Threw you the like! ) that this is the best slap on the wrist possible. I guess that is probably about right.
  15. I bet that is the defacto result. The Astros are going to hire a GM and Manager. They aren't going to not have guys in those positions for a year. I'd bet they just fire Hinch and Luhnow. And I bet no one hires them because they are radioactive. Maybe I have too much faith in people though.
  16. It seems like a good penalty to me, what would you have done further?
