  1. Maybe just peruse this for 15 seconds. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/beltrad01.shtml
  2. Dunn was pretty near a HOFer. And if he hadn't completely collapsed during his tenure with the White Sox he may well have been one.
  3. Ha! That's a great idea. Though with the Sox, well, they might not be able to give them away.
  4. Uhhhh. Yeah, those guys that can go 20/20 at AA as a 19 year old really have no room to grow as players. He is clearly maxed out. I mean, his OPS last year, as 5 years younger than his league average, was barely over .860.
  5. They won't win enough to matter, but will probably win 1 more than they should to remove themselves from prime draft position.
  6. And why would this be surprising anyways, they had years to plan for this years free agency and it yielded nothing.
  7. Or maybe they are re-prioritizing it on what they deem to be a better player.
  8. Ok then. Good for you man. I hope you are not near this miserable of a human in real life.
  9. Do you really have to be so condescending and spiteful to everyone all the time? We get it, you are really smart and amazing (see what I did there?)
  10. Yeah, when Howard fell at Nova, I didn't know it then, but that was the death knell for the season. As you said, not all on him, he is the only one that played decently yesterday. No one really showed up. They were the only thing distracting me from looking that 90 loss season right in the eyes.
  11. Me too. That game was a disaster. They didn't even show up to play. Ugh.
  12. This highlights the downsind of the fact that the Sox have neglected pitching in the past 2 drafts.
  13. He is probably breaking wild stallions in Colombia as we speak.
  14. It is so good to know that none of your statements here are in any way based in reality.
  15. Ugh. This looks like more mismanagement. I'm not a doctor, but at this point it really seems like this should have been done over the summer. What a bummer. Edit: I don't know, maybe that isn't fair, but I'm extra skeptical of this team's competence right now.
  16. It had better come from within. Can't see them spending on a top tier starter. Probably not even 2nd tier. If there is any hope, Kopech, Cease, and Dunning better all hit their ceilings, or close to them.
  17. No joke. It is difficult when you have a competent front office and an owner that wants to win, and will spend 200 million to be competitive.
  18. To me, it is another example of poor planning this offseason. Especially if they had any idea they'd be trading Narvaez, it was silly to lose Smith to have to spend more money on another backup catcher. Especially one this is well, probably not as good.
