  1. I know you are joking, but there should be 2 guys in between Engel and the cut line right now. Check out his splits, that last month is playable. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=engelad01&year=2018&t=b
  2. I would prefer no part in Pollock. Great player, but he has played 100 less than half his seasons.
  3. I have been a huge proponent of this plan, even before the draft, because quite simply, Harper is better. It will certainly cost more to sign him, but could well be worth it.
  4. Even if he isn't. If he becomes a good, valuable productive player that is a contributor that's all you can ask. If he is that, then the only way I think a rational fan could be upset is if a guy like India becomes an MVP type player.
  5. It also had a lot to do with this guy https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bumgama01.shtml and this guy https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/linceti01.shtml and even this guy https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/cainma01.shtml
  6. Personally, I don't even really care if he hits 5-10 hrs. He seems like a guy that will get hits, walk, have a good OBP and could even be a guy that hits 40 or so doubles. In my opinion, that is extremely valuable. If he could consistently put up years like Jean Segura did last year, (.300/.349/.486 -- 30 2B, 11 HR, 22 SB), that would be incredible. He may even be able to do that with more BB and fewer Ks.
  7. There is some good talent for us here... Really wanted one of those pitchers to stick around, but oh well.
  8. Anderson will have C covered. *** Rats. Beat to it 3 times over.
  9. Maybe there is a team pushing him down, as with Liberatore.
  10. Like the Sox and Singer. Not saying it won't happen, just that weird things happen sometimes.
  11. Who knows, the difference in money at that pick and round 2 may get him out of football.
