  1. Hahah. I really hope the A's just screwed the Padres. Just for fun.
  2. Not exactly. At 20 he hit 15 HRs between A and A+. At 21 between A+ and AA he had a .591 SLG%.
  3. The good news is that the 1st pick does not default to number 1 any more.
  4. Good question. Blackman and Rivera have both performed very well at Kanny, the same with Remillard and Yrizarri at WS. Obviously Madrigal's development is probably going to supersede those guys'.
  5. Still gets them listens, and shares. But either way, ok maybe that's not why they are doing it. I just don't get why everything they say and do is taken as gospel. Just me though.
  6. Or they are running a website and trying to stir things up to get some attention.
  7. They also said Singer. They can be wrong about stuff. People seem to lose sight of that.
  8. Part of the difficulty with this draft is you could basically but any combination of players at 2-12 or so and not necessarily be wrong about any of them.
  9. Didn't law essentially think that Fulmer and Sale had about the same outcome at their drafts?
  10. Wow, I would love if Mclanahan fell to the Sox. I think he has the best ace potential of any of the SPs. It would be very similar to getting Hansen there. Can't imagine a LH 100 MPH arm falling that far, but now I have something to dream on today.
  11. I wouldn't be too upset with Bohm either.
  12. Boy, that practice swing looks like he was just focusing on adding more loft, so he could hit a dinger in a game that was already sealed up. That is most impressive. Wow.
  13. I would say it is also understandable to say you wouldn't want your favorite team to draft him.
  14. Probably should have been caught... but just missed a HR.
  15. You are being ridiculous. Of course I don't and you know I don't. I live in Illinois, never heard of this kid until last year, and am not a private investigator. And while they are two different things, there are consequences to pleading guilty in a court of law, one of which, is essentially admitting guilt.
  16. As a 20 year old (same age as Madrigal last year) in A and A+ ball, Altuve hit 15HRs, 5 3B and 20 2Bs and had a SLG% of .591.
  17. Yeah, he pleaded guilty. That, to me, is more than random speculation.
  18. So, do you have any evidence of this "good" reason? Or is it just your speculation? Either way, calling that explanation a "good reason" is irresponsible and dangerous.
  19. Absolutely. Expecting him to be like one of the most unique talents in the game is, well, a little crazy. He is much more likely DJ Lemaheiu or Jean Segura at the top end, which is still a very good useful player and a good guy to have on your team.
  20. He can, I just hope it isn't with the White Sox.
