  1. I was just wondering about all of these. thanks for the update.
  2. Another great article! It totally helps ease the power concerns. If and when the power comes he will be another top bat that I am excited to see in the bigs.
  3. Yeah we totally sold at the perfect time with him. I do wonder if he was still being coached by Cooper if he'd still be performing though...
  4. That's where I'm at right now in that order. It will be interesting to see what we do.
  5. I think it was a Baseball America chat a few weeks back somebody asked if Madrigal could play third and the guy said he wouldn't doubt Madrigal at anything. He felt with his athleticism and how hard he works he probably could play anywhere he wanted.
  6. And what happens when a couple of the other OFs don't pan out... which is likely.
  7. Love the work. He is my current favorite for the sox pick.
  8. I don't get why you don't let him play OF for now and if we are lucky enough to have the problem of too many good OF, then we move him to 1b while having him also DH and play OF while learning 1b. Seems pretty simple to me. No need to move him now especially with so many other players in the system that might have to make the move to 1b.
  9. So did he go back to his old swing, or just his old stance? Whatever it is, it is working. Collins has been my fav player in our system and I am super excited to see him mashin!
  10. I am leaning more and more towards India. I still really like Madrigal and I would be happy with either one. But the further this process goes the higher I am on India.
  11. That true. Thankfully we started at such a great time. We got some possible superstars from contending teams who had great farms at the time. With so many doing it now, I don't think we would've gotten the same kind of return this season.
  12. Yeah I've heard multiple sources say he can play any spot in the INF. I think putting him at 3rd and being the backup ss and 2b is really the final big piece we need for the rebuild as far as position players go. I really hope we are able to get him!
  13. While they are so close I think pitch face puts Hansen over Cease for me...
  14. I'm pretty sure last year if we had done this we would have ended up with ... Burger...
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 04:13 PM) As a heads up, we will be completing the next portion of our upgrade later today and into tomorrow. Possibility that it could spill into Friday but the hope is we will be back up in action for the next game. When the site goes down, we will post a link to the temporary forum, which can be found at http://www.soxtalk.freeforums.net/ ; Site will likely go down in the next couple of hours. After this upgrade is done, that should do it in terms of heavy lifting (as we'll be on the latest version of the software). In the weeks that follow, we will be doing work to enhance the design from the more standard look and feel, but that will occur in the background and will not cause any outages. Appreciate everyone's patience!!! NNNNNNNOOOOOOOO! Just kidding, Hopefully its not gone too long. Thanks for all you guys do!
  16. Not watching but trying to follow at work... TA with another walk? How many is that on the year?
  17. wow, for W-S every player already has at least 1 hit. The whole line up is looking really good.
  18. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 08:30 AM) For me, the order goes: 1) Mize 2) Bohm 3/4) Madrigal / Swaggerty Those last two depend on whether our scouts feel Madrigal can stick at SS. If so, he’s an easy #3 for me. Well having seen very little of all these guys, with my expert opinion (which is what really matters) I would go 1 Mize, 2 Madrigal, 3 Swaggerty 4 Bohm
  19. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 07:33 AM) Updated Fangraphs draft rankings. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/updated-201...fhw4SFc.twitter Is Nander de Sadas not even in their top 55 or did I miss him?
  20. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 07:24 AM) Collins walked 3 times last night and all anyone ever talks about are the strikeouts. Yup... his obp is above .300 right now. I don't see how that such a bad thing. Sure you'd like him to not strike out so much but his obp is gonna be ridiculous when he starts getting a few hits.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 02:06 PM) I'll personally assume these players are: Singer, McClanahan, Mize, Turang, Gorman, Rolison, Kowar, Kelenic, and De Sedas I feel like your list is from months ago...
  22. Cant we just get ron to create a thread about how awful everybody is... especially our young guys... theyd be sure to take off and start performing then
  23. Wish I could do something like this. But with a 1 yr old, I don't think I can make it from Montana. But it seems like a fun time!
  24. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 04:54 PM) He is pitching as we speak. 3 ks and one hit batter in 1st inning
  25. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 03:45 PM) If he finishes the year at .220 AVG with a .720 OPS & 200+ K's yet is top 5 in baseball in exit velocity, I'm going to have a hard time being excited about his 2018 year. There is a difference between being unlucky and struggling...
