  1. It's like naming an orphanage for Casey Anthony
  2. before this becomes a thing, someone may want to tell the curator its called a moob on a man...unless he is implying TLR is a boob
  3. Those opponents better get their drives down the line in early because once the seventh inning hits, either Vaughn or Eloy gets replaced with a gold glove level of defense in Engel.
  4. Any time you feel your temper changing, drop a mental bath bomb and luxuriate in another win.
  5. I'm just going to do what the players seem to be doing and block him out. This season appears to be going in too good of a direction for me to not just bathe in happiness.
  6. It's not going to happen and it is more likely he is back next season. I have become accustomed to not liking Sox managers and JR doesn't care
  7. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I could go into my closet and pull out clothes that would fit with that theme day
  8. Clearly? It seems to me they are making great sport of it.
  9. It look like Rodney Dangerfield's Regular Guy fashion show
  10. He was already on the list after his out of gas game
  11. The contract always ends up setting the expectations
  12. Whenever Ozzie did something crazy we always accepted it as taking the pressure off the young team. I'll just treat Tony the same way. The players probably laugh about it
  13. I fear them on a game to game basis. There was no game in this series I thought was an automatic win. However, I don't fear that they will be in it over the long haul
  14. I read on another site the mlbtv people were indicating that Yermin acknowleged that he did see the take sign.
  15. the ricketts' made lakeview look like arlington heights maybe the sox can make arlington heights look like bridgeport
  16. looks strong enough to finish the game, although I wouldn't suggest it with 2,3,4 up next inning
  17. If Tony had framed this as Mercedes being openly insubordinate by knowingly disobeying a take sign, I think he wins the discussion. That isn't an unwritten rule of baseball. That is a (usually) written rule of every workplace. Yermin has already had some trouble following basic rules this year when given his one shot. It was such an odd way to present it, as a disrespect to the game.
  18. Tony isn't going to feed Yermin's kids when he stops swinging
  19. The goal of the game for both teams in that situation is to finish the game as quickly as possible. Swinging at pitches is more likely to result in outs than not swinging at pitches, thus ending the game more quickly. What is the logic in not swinging?
  20. Don't forget to add Collins into the discussion. There were people who thought he couldn't even play at the MLB level six months ago. He has shown himself to be a competent defensive catcher with some valuable attributes as a hitter
