I will keep saying this......the Sox are going to make deals but it won't be for guys who's names have been floated about...
Escobar, Frazier, story....
In typical sox fashion they will shock everyone

Frazier is an average player in a career year fueled by numbers that look anomalous. I wouldn't even be sure he will sustain the production in the final two months of THIS season, let alone being viable next year.

I think the teams looking to move players are shocked at the lack of return being offered. They will eventually adjust.
-
I only care about the return in comparison to Cease+ so that Bernstein can be further exposed.
-
Dan Bernstein said Joc Pederson is worth Dylan Cease+ so I can only imagine the return we can get for Eaton, who has a better WAR
-
I don't know but it's the Sox so I will say great
-
I don't know about his impact on the team but I think it's clear as TA attends his first ASG that the media/fan fears of his ability to play for Larussa were overstated

He had a lot of moments in the playoffs against a lot of playoff teams, not bums, if I remember correctly. Baez as a 2b stopgap would be fucking amazing this season

I see him as a bum slayer who feeds of bad pitchers and mistakes. He may have a moment in the playoffs but the overall work will be disappointing and the price to get him will be high.

salary relief and a non prospect

It shouldn't be difficult for a team to buy up some multi unit buildings near the stadium to house players. The cost wouldn't even be all that great as the real estate is an investment. They could even do something like a frat house with a bunch of private rooms, common areas and cafeteria dining.

Celebrating hitting a run of the mill home run and accusing a player of habitual cheating are the same to you? Really?
In the context in which this "accusation" was done? Absolutely.

I will be happy if his only contribution is giving the team some offense until Eloy returns

I enjoy the shit talking.
I just hope they reserve some for the Cub series. Ozzie always reserved his best for those games

There's a difference between pimping a homer and saying the pitcher on the opposing team isn't cheating anymore. One is accepted and the other one is attacking a person's integrity.
It's all the same from my perspective and I don't have a problem with either.
You can't be the team that cheers Hendricks' histrionics and then get upset about minor incivilities from other teams.

I thought we cheered it as enthusiasm for the game when a hitter is demonstrative after a home run.

Joc Pederson may be back in play by the end of the week if the Cubs get swept...Bryant as well

Did Donaldson break an unwritten rule?

There's no perfect solution, obviously, but thinking about moving Vaughn to RF in September just before the playoffs makes me cringe.
I keep thinking of Nelson Cruz and the route he took in RF during the David Freese Game in the 2011 World Series that cost Texas the championship.
Obviously, in this last scenario Vaughn would've been benched for a defensive sub late in the game, but stands as an example of the defense vs. offense argument when it comes to the playoffs.
Those opponents better get their drives down the line in early because once the seventh inning hits, either Vaughn or Eloy gets replaced with a gold glove level of defense in Engel.

Exactly what I've been doing. Then something dumb happens and I'm dragged back to feeling how I felt when they announced the hire. Gotta go back to cheering for the 26 players in the clubhouse and ignore there is even a manager.
Any time you feel your temper changing, drop a mental bath bomb and luxuriate in another win.

What the Brewers Series is Telling Us
in Pale Hose Talk

That they should try to avoid teams in the playoffs who can roll out three all star staring pitchers and they should try to obtain home field advantage
