  1. How awesome would it to be to see Luis tear it up in the spring, and start 2018 in High-A? If that happens, I will be stoked.
  2. Does anyone have any insight on the top ranked high school players? In the mock drafts I look at, it seems like Hankins, de Sedas, Liberatore, and Turang are always the names I see towards the top.
  3. QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Jan 5, 2018 -> 11:47 AM) I have him as our third prospect (Eloy, Kopech, Hansen, Robert). I think he will be around top 50 when they release new lists and top 25 by the midway point next year when they update them. He is going to be a fast riser up the prospect boards. How I rank our top 10 prospects including those who came up last year (Moncada, Eloy, kopech, hansen, robert, giolito, lopez, Cease, Berger, Dunning). I could be missing a name there... but yes, i love hansen and am with you that he is underrated I dont want the White Sox to rush Hansen, but I could see him being one of those guys that really forces his way to the big leagues, quickly.
  4. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jan 5, 2018 -> 11:39 AM) Adolfo is a guy that does have upside remaining if he can continue to improve. He's still pretty young and the tools to be a regular are there. Zavala is a guy I could see actually becoming one of our better prospects and overtaking Collins Love Zavala. I think he is really slept on. Hiss offense has been nice to, so maybe we could even see him slide in to a DH position one day.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2018 -> 11:14 AM) His results have basically been ideal. His control has come around, his K totals have stayed very high, and he is putting up innings at a high rate. He should be a top 100 prospect IMO. Currently ranked 91st by MLB, and I still think that is too low for him.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2018 -> 11:14 AM) Not sure if he is Top 15 or not, but I have been driving the Micker Adolfo bus for a while. Adolfo is ranked 14th by MLB. But yes, I am excited to see Micker take that next step. Big time power that has the balling flying out of the park very quickly.
  7. Would love to see Jake Burger make the jump at some point this season to Birmingham. He came out blazing to begin his pro career, and cooled off a little bit as the season ended. Hopefully he starts in WS and makes the jump to Birmingham during the season. Seems as if he's really been working hard this off-season.
  8. I believe this to be true. Once considered a virtual lock to be the top overall pick in the draft, and is now clearly living up to that hype. Made the jump for Low-A to Double-A in one year. Really think that he could be a guy that we see in Chicago in September. It just doesn't seem like he gets the love that he should. I think he should be the 4th ranked prospect in our system, and somewhere in the mid-30's overall.
  9. Obviously spring training will tell us a lot, but where do we think he ends up? Seems as if he could really start anywhere from AZL to Winston-Salem.
  10. Which prospect, outside of the Top 15, are fans most excited for? I've always been a Jordan Stephens guy. I think he'll have a really nice year in Charlotte in 2018, and could plug in nicely as a 5-starter for the White Sox in 2019, or could be a nice trade chip. Who do you guys like?
  11. The White Sox are in a great position for the draft. There are a lot of different roads they could go down. Which would you rather see? 1. White Sox draft the best overall college player available? 2. White Sox draft the best overall high school player?
  12. QUOTE (zisk @ Jan 4, 2018 -> 06:34 PM) Dunno about Cease. He might end up being great. I do get your point tho. The only reason that I would throw him in is because I am so high on Giolito, Kopech, Hansen and Lopez. I think there simply just wont be room for Cease by the time he is MLB ready. And if that is true, it would be a good idea to deal him sooner before the White Sox have no leverage left with him. Obviously a good "problem" to have.
  13. This is how I look at a potential Yelich trade: Moncada, Giolito, Lopez, Jimenez, Robert, Hansen, and Kopech are all off limits. But after that, I think I would be willing to do about any 3 players, plus a lower level prospect. So if they would accept something like: Rutherford, Cease, Dunning and Hickman, I would do that for sure.
  14. I like the signing if it is at 5 years. He would fill multiple needs, as well as be in the lineup during what I would consider to be "prime years" for the White Sox (2020, 2021, 2022).
  15. No idea who this guy is. Bio says that he has a Master in Sports Administration from Northwestern. Reportedly "broke" Josh Gordon being reinstated. J.M. McNeely‏ @TheJoeyMcNeely Follow Follow @TheJoeyMcNeely More "Oh boy. Source is telling me the #WhiteSox have made a significant offer to FA 3B Mike Moustakas and sides are close on an agreed deal."
  16. A little late to the party here but I like the idea of trading for Machado. Now obviously guys like Moncada, Jimenez, Giolito, Lopez, Kopech, Hansen and Robert should be completely off limits. However, I am more than comfortable with letting the Orioles pick 2 out of Stephens, Rutherford, Cease, Dunning, and Fulmer (And anyone ranked lower than that). The way I look at it is, it is a cant lose for the White Sox. Positives: 1. Maybe the young guys catch fire, plus Machado, Abreu, and Garcia keep doing what they're doing and the White Sox have a really nice season. By July we should know if Machado would stay or not. You would have to think that being able to recruit him for 7 months couldn't be a bad thing in any way. 2. If he decides he doesn't want to sign an extension or he just wont commit to it either way, trade him on July 31st. There is no doubt in my mind that we would get back equal or greater value at the deadline, compared to what we gave up for him in the offseason. So to me, this is a no-brainer.
  17. Here is my list: 1. Jimenez 2. Kopech 3. Robert 4. Hansen 5. Dunning 6. Collins 7. Rutherford 8. Burger 9. Fulmer 10. Cease 11. Stephens 12. Burdi 13. Gillaspie 14. Zavala 15. Adolfo 16. Sheets 17. Adams 18. Cordell 19. Basabe 20. Vieira 21. Guerrero 22. Clarkin 23. Puckett 24. Tilson 25. Skoug 26. Yurchak 27. Call 28. Fisher 29. Bummer 30. Fry 30. Nunez
  18. Could we get Groome and Chavis for Abreu?
  19. What kind of return do the White Sox get for him? I've always thought that Jose was very undervalued.
  20. -What kind of trade value does Jose Abreu have? Does he fetch something like 2 Top 100 guys? Or 1 Top 30 and a couple of add-on guys?
  21. I wonder if there is a chance that we see Eloy in Chicago before September. Have to think he'll make it to Charlotte fairly quickly. If he continues to crush the ball, maybe we see him with the White Sox in August?
  22. Peter and Gillaspie would be interesting.
