  1. Can't imagine that Jimenez is in Birmingham for that long next year. I think we'll see him in Charlotte in early July.
  2. At the beginning of the season, I would have said that Hansen probably makes the White Sox in 2020. Now I think there is a strong possibility that he is in the rotation to start the 2019 season. It has been really fun to follow his progress this year.
  3. Danish going for Charlotte. Easterling on the bump for Birmingham. Dunning getting the nod for Winston-Salem. Solórzano for Kannapolis. Agar starting for Great Falls. AZL with a game tonight against the AZL Athletics. DSL started a game vs. the DSL Mariners at 9:30 http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20170823
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Aug 23, 2017 -> 12:43 PM) Getz has already stated that Jimenez and Collins will start next year in Birmingham. Probably a good idea. I really don't want to rush Jimenez. He'll only get a little over 1/2 a month with Birmingham this year, so I think its a good idea to have him at least start next year there. Then if he continues to crush the ball the first couple of months next year, then promote him in June.
  5. What're the odds that we see Jimenez in Charlotte before June 2018?
  6. I like the this first start from Kopech. Still very young, and was facing some MLB talent out there. Excited for his next start.
  7. Pretty excited about this. Looking forward to following Giolito and Kopech on the same night.
  8. I think that Jimenez will fly through the system a lot more than I originally anticipated. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in Charlotte around late June/early July, and then as the White Sox starting RF on Opening Day in 2019.
  9. Very interested in the action tonight. -Last start for Giolito with Charlotte before joining Chicago on Monday? -First games for Collins and Jimenez with Birmingham. -Hoping for a big outing from Hansen.
  10. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) I think Gio and Kopech are up once the Sox secure the extra year of control. I'd be tempted to let Kopech start the year in the Sox rotation I don't know, that seems a little fast for Kopech. He is still just 21, and will be until the start of next year. This is his first year in AA, and he actually only had 11 starts in High-A with the Salem Red Sox. No doubt in my mind that he starts next year in Charlotte, and I personally would leave him there the entire year. He has been lights out recently, but I would like to see what he can do consistently against AAA hitters. I wouldn't be against a call-up around July, but that would be the earliest I would see him with the White Sox.
  11. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 15, 2017 -> 10:59 AM) The 2019 season should be interesting. We should have a rotation of Kopech, Rodon, Lopez, Giolito, & one of Adams or Guerrero. Burdi should be back & healthy by then and hopefully guys like Fulmer & Stephens will have filled roles in the bullpen. I also wouldn't be surprised to see add a veteran reliever or two by then. Point is, the pitching staff has a chance to be pretty damn good is all goes well (no guarantee there obviously). The positional side is tough. The single most important factor would be Moncada developing into a star by then. I see a few other things needing to happen as well. Anderson rebounding into a 2 to 3 WAR player. Abreu maintaining his current level of production. Jimenez being ready fairly early in the year and being a solid contributor from the get-go. And signing one significant impact player in free agency. If they can do that, I think they'd high end players to offset any weak spots and be s legit contender and not just a .500 caliber team. I think the rotation in 2019 looks something like: 1. Rodon 2. Lopez 3. Kopech 4. Giolito 5. Stephens With Fulmer, Guerrero, Adams, and Danish out of the pen. Then in late 2019, but more likely 2020, we see Hansen added to the rotation for Stephens, sending him and Dunning to the bullpen.
  12. I will really enjoy watching the Charlotte rotation next year. Potentially starting the season with a rotation of: 1. Giolito 2. Kopech 3. Stephens 4. Guerrero 5. Adams
  13. I think the first chance at contention should be 2019. I don't think that we'll be contending for the World Series, but for sure a playoff spot. 2020 is when I expect most guys from the rebuild, as of now, to be up. With the one exception being Luis Robert. I think he is a 2021 guy. 2021 is the year that if everything goes right, I think at least thinking about the World Series will not be too far-fetched.
  14. Would like to see Danish. He is a guy that will come out of the pen in the future. Mind as well get him innings in low pressure situations. Same with Fulmer. Giolito is a guy that I would like to see up with the White Sox because I want him to work with Cooper. Give him like 4 starts with the Sox, and just let him soak in the MLB experience. Then start him in Charlotte next year and see if he can come out blazing from the start.
  15. I support any move that allows both Collins and Zavala to be in the lineup full-time. Collins was going to start 2018 in Birmingham anyway. Mind as well start to get him some AA at-bats.
  16. I would have no problem with Eloy going to AA to end the season, but I don't see it as totally necessary. At this point, I would probably just let him gain confidence in High-A, then crush the AFL, then start 2018 in AA. And then I would have no problem with a quick promotion to Charlotte if he continues on this tear.
  17. I've always been of the mindset that Fulmer was just rushed through the system. I believe they were doing that when they thought they had a window to compete, and wanted to be apart of it. None the less, I think that he should keep getting starts at the Triple-A level. Worst case scenario to me, is that he is a solid reliever for the White Sox.
  18. A little under one month left in the season for the Minor Leagues. Do we see any of our top prospects earn a promotion? Would have to think that Jimenez, Burger, Hansen, Kopech, Stephens, and Dunning could all be in line for a promotion to end the season.
  19. AAA: Charlotte at Pawtucket. 6:05CT (Danish vs. Beeks). AA: Birmingham at Jacksonville. 6:05CT (Banks vs. Mazza). High A:Winston-Salem at Frederick. 6:00CT (Lambert vs. Sedlock). A: Greenville at Kannapolis. 6:05CT (Diaz vs. TBD). Rookie: Ogden at Great Falls. 8:00CT (Stolo vs. Von Ruden) Arizona: AZL Reds at AZL White Sox 9:00CT (TBD vs. TBD) Dominican Sumer League: DSL Mariners at DSL White Sox 9:30am CT (TBD vs. TBD) http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20170808
  20. Nice night for Casey Gillaspie. Would be great if he could turn things around. White Sox have a lot of options in the future for that 1B/DH spot.
  21. I would rank Stephens as the No. 2 pitcher behind Kopech. He has been so consistent this year. Would like to see him get a few starts with Charlotte this year. Dylan Cease is a little high for me. I would actually switch Stephens and Cease's rankings. By the time he gets to the White Sox, I would expect Cease to be a bullpen arm, where as I expect Stephens to be in the White Sox rotation in 2019.
  22. I really like Rodon. His stuff is just nasty. No doubt to me that if he stays healthy, that he'll be the ace of the staff for years to come.
  23. Big night for pitchers. Would love to see Giolito have a big night, especially with Acuna and Swanson in the lineup for Gwinnett.
  24. Hoping for Beer as well. And from things I've read and looked at, it sounds like we don't need the top pick to get him, which is nice.
  25. Interesting night for arms. Really interested to see how Clarkin does.
