  1. Really hoping that Lopez ends up not pitching and is on his way to Chicago for a start with the White Sox on Thursday. I think he has earned it and I don't know how much he has left to prove. Fun to see Kopech and Dunning as well going tonight. Always look forward to bouncing back and forth checking out the games on the MiLB app.
  2. I feel like this is said a lot, but big night for arms. Expecting another dominant start from Stephens.
  3. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 09:36 PM) Does Kopech get to AAA this year? Would love to see him get a few starts in Charlotte, but he is a guy we cant afford to rush.
  4. No trolling. I think that some seem to be severely undervaluing Stanton, and very much overvaluing A ball prospects. We must remember that not all these prospects will work out. Some of these guys are struggling in there respective leagues on the farm. I feel like this would be very fair considering the caliber of Stanton. Plus you would still have an OF of Robert, Stanton and Rutherford. Pitching staff of Rodon, Kopech, Lopez, Giolio and Cease. Infield of Burger, Anderson, Moncada and Abreu.
  5. Would love to see Stephens get the call to Triple-A. I don't want them to rush any players development, but if he's working with a sub 2 ERA in AA after 8 starts, I don't think it would be the worst to see what he can do in AAA for the final month and a half.
  6. I actually thought my proposal was light. Obviously Jimenez is the prize, but I don't even think in that trade that there is a second headliner. Some good potential. But Dunning and Adams are bullpen guys to me. Collins cant hit above .220. To me Hansen would be the second headliner but there are some serious concerns. I think he'll be really good for the White Sox, but we all know about his command in college.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2017 -> 05:44 PM) So we wouldn't have to give up as many prospects as usual and you're giving up more than we got back for Quintana? Anyway, I wouldn't mind trading for him, but he's "Fairly paid", so I want to give up virtually none of my high end talent for him and that's the problem. The Marlins would want a Jiminez type back for him and NO - those guys are my precious. I think in any trade scenario, Stanton should return better prospects than Quintana. In terms of my specific proposal. None of the guys I proposed, minus Adams, are proven above High-A. Plus with this deal, we still keep Moncada, Kopech, Lopez, Robert, Burger, and Giolito. I wouldn't be upset if it didn't happen, but if we did, I'd be excited.
  8. So there is always the discussion on if the White Sox could sign Harper or Machado, but what about a trade for Stanton? The reason I think this would be interesting is because the White Sox probably wouldn't have to give up as many prospects as usual, solely because of the amount of money they would have to take on. Something like: White Sox get: Giancarlo Stanton. Marlins get: Eloy Jimenez, Zack Collins, Dane Dunning, Alec Hansen, and Spencer Adams.
  9. I think that Rutherford is just so far away. and the Yankees think that they can win now, so they were willing to trade a good prospect since he is so far away still.
  10. I think that Tucker has a better chance of being a "sure thing" but Jimenez has more upside.
  11. Big night for pitchers in the farm system. Rutherford batting second for Kanny tonight.
  12. I actually like where were at catchers wise. 3 really good options in the future. Maybe none of them reach the majors or become starters, but I like where were at for now.
  13. Nice to see Dickman with the strong debut for the Barons. 4.2 scoreless innings for Stephens as well.
  14. Jake Peter up from Birmingham. Spent some time with Charlotte last season.
  15. QUOTE (Username @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 06:07 PM) Really? He was a former catcher and was supposed to be athletically limited so that's good to hear. That was one of his big draft knocks. Oh yeah. He bunts for hits when the defense is pretty straight up. Any ground ball it seems like he has a chance to me.
  16. Loving the rebuild so far. Big fan of getting Tito Polo in the trade yesterday as well. Have to produce at this point! Excited to see Moncada's first start with the team.
  17. I think he should fetch more than we'll end up getting. He is the perfect rental player for a playoff team.
  18. I would only trade Abreu if we got a return similar to the Sale/Quintana/Eaton trades. I expect Abreu to spend his entire career with the Sox, though.
  19. Can't go wrong with either, but I would prefer Harper. Wouldn't be surprised if either of these guys wanted to join the team considering the young core. Could be part of a very dominant team for many years.
  20. Hoping for another big start from Stephens. Would love to see him in Charlotte before the season ends.
  21. He seems like a tough guy to put a finger on. He is still relatively young in the sense that he was drafted just last year. However, he is 20. Some people are unimpressed with his power. What do we think he can and will become?
  22. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jimenez move to AA. Would be awesome to see him make that jump Fisher needs some time in High-A still. One thing I love about Fisher that I never see talked about, is that he is so fast. He fly's down the line. Surprised that Rutherford is starting Kannapolis.
  23. Charlotte taking on Rochester at 6:05CT. Fulmer on the bump for the Knights. Birmingham hosting Jackson at 7:05CT. Stephens pitching for the Barons. Winston-Salem is off. Kannapolis hosts West Virginia at 6:05CT. White Sox rookie team taking on the Rangers rookie team at 9:00CT DSL White Sox beat the DSL Blue Jays today, 1-0.
