That’s a great story! Around that same era I sent Ed Farmer a fan letter as a young child. He actually called me and I’ll never forget the look on my dad’s face when he answered the phone. This was back when players didn’t think they were better than the fans.

And they weren’t talented enough to overcome lack of teamwork.
