  1. Isn’t it obvious that people are willing to overlook your enormous character flaws when you’re playing well? When you suck, add humility and decency to your repertoire.
  2. I know there was one administrator here that attacked a lot of people when they failed to admire Anderson. He’s been silent for a while.
  3. Part of this is on the starters. It seems only Giolito and Lynn are capable of going six or seven innings. I just checked baseball reference and it’s been a month since Kopech pitched more than five innings. Hey Michael - why don’t you flip off the bullpen every time you take the ball. Hes gone seven innings in three of 15 starts. Cease has not gone past six innings (6.1 once, there’s that) and has only done that in seven of 16 starts. Eventually the bullpen will get worn down. (Admittedly I don’t know if every team has starters pitching like this or if the Sox are an outlier.)
  4. If he could work on getting to know the coaches names during the All Star break that would be even better.
  5. They nearly got swept by the worst team in MLB history.
  6. Well Oakland started one guy with a 7.79 ERA and another who is a career 5 ERA guy.
  7. The one guy that can be counted on will be traded soon or leave via free agency at the end of the season.
  8. I’ve been thinking about your first sentence …. If they did win the division would most get joy out of it? For myself I’ve already moved on from this team and would not get enjoyment. I’m still coasting on the fumes on my 40 years of being a fan but I don’t get current enjoyment out of them. Even if there was a good run out of them and they snuck in (which by the way, I can’t ever remember a Sox team coming from behind to snatch success at the end of a season) I really don’t think I would blink an eye. Maybe I’m wrong and I could get caught up in it but I think I root for the Rays more at this point.
  9. They have one, maybe two if you count Burger, hitters. The pitching is fine for now. Although it will blow up soon I think. As someone else pointed out you can’t have Cease/Kopech go five innings every game and not have it wear out your bullpen. I remember a couple weeks ago Kopech throwing 100 pitches in four innings. He should have flipped off the bullpen before he left the mound.
  10. Of course as already pointed out this thread is a rebuild thread not a sell the team thread so the guy posted it in the wrong thread.
  11. This is one of the guys who always said those who were questioning Hahn were Cubs fans. I’ve got him on block. He clearly know nothing. Obviously struggles with reading too.
  12. He was still a narcissist jerk while he was playing better.
  13. Halfway through the season looks like the prediction winners are: Harold’s Leg Lift Tnetennba Lip Man 1 Jack Parkman knightni Jerry McNertney he gone greg775
  14. He's at 64 so far. Looks like Parkman had a decent idea.
  15. If they give the job to Getz you might as well get ready for more of the same. He was supposed to revamp the minor leagues based on his one year in KC when they won while he was getting coffee for the higher ups. His minor leagues stink. He’s completely unqualified based on his resume. I suppose he’s a lock to be Hahn’s replacement.
  16. Many long time fans and a generation of kids for whom the White Sox are not even on their radar screen.
  17. My thoughts. He’s basically a non entity outside of the south side of Chicago. He’s probably the third best shortstop in Chicago.
  18. I don’t think he said zero chance. Of course mathematically, by dumb luck you would have expected the White Sox to have appeared in three World Series in the 42 years Reinsdorf has owned the team. So his failure to do this May in fact imply a zero percent chance of winning from here on out. KC has been in three and won two. Cleveland has been in three. Minnesota has been in two and won two. Detroit has been in three and won once. From the old AL West Oakland has been in three and won one. Texas has been in two. The Angels have only appeared in and won one like the Sox. Only Seattle from that division has not been in the World Series. So given Reinsdorf’s epic level of fail, I probably would agree there is zero chance as long as he remains owner, even though the OP did give them a non-zero chance.
