  1. Don’t worry people will forget. I was never on board with this back in 2017 when they let the people who sank the Titanic captain the rescue boats. I was ripped, everyone on WSI thought Hahn was the Sox Theo. Ignore minor league injury history I was told. Ignore the absolute historical incompetence of this organization I was told. Hahnsight is 2020 one doofus had as his banner. Everyone will be on board with the next rebuild. Once the talking points go out (LaRussa’s fault, bad luck with injuries) all will be forgotten.
  2. Maybe not the first injury but everyone should be predicting Jimenez and Robert and Moncada and Anderson to get hurt at some point every season. I also suspect Kopech will get hurt this year. And I am surprised Burger hasn’t been hurt recently.
  3. I’ll bite … if he can’t be blamed for that what has he done that he can take credit for that is so impressive?
  4. One during a fake season that shouldn’t even count.
  5. The Ron Schueler era would be just fine at this point.
  6. Who said that was the true litmus test? It’s not. (Also the Dodgers have two since 1988 inclusive.)
  7. I’m not advocating for keeping Hahn around. Not at all. I’m just saying if anybody can make it worse it’s this organization.
  8. I wonder in the back of my head if there is something worse waiting in the wings after Hahn is gone. There’s no guarantee it gets better. It would be hard to get worse but not impossible.
  9. Of course there was losing their best hitter and second best pitcher and closer that might add to last year’s team being better than this year’s team.
  10. I’m not sure the home field advantage accounts for the nine postseason appearances since 2000. Maybe it does.
  11. Ofc the topic was organizational trust and not who will finish ahead of who in this particular year.
  12. Nobody’s fawning, just saying one organization is better run than the other.
  13. I mean in the Reinsdorf era the Twins have won two Workd Series and been to the postseason twice as many times, the last two years not withstanding. I’d say the zero trust has been earned.
  14. The Twins also appear to have their toughest part of their schedule in April.
  15. There is no window of contention if you are basically out of it two weeks into the season after losing a couple of guys who should have been expected to get injured.
  16. You’ve got your bases covered. The Sox get credit for the guys that got away and also they, not the Cubs or Red Sox, get credit for Cease and Moncada. Do you play “heads I win tails you lose” very often?
  17. Who will trade a bucket of balls for a guy who can’t stay healthy? They are stuck with him.
  18. Simple. .435 in the WBC does not affect his MLB season one bit. An injury may very well affect part of the season.
  19. It would be a hiccup if it didn’t happen every year. Treating the fans with gratitude would be the hiccup for this organization.
  20. Yes I remember that one and he missed a significant chunk of that season. I thought there was a second one in the minors as well. Could be his rookie year I’m thinking of.
  21. Wasn’t he hurt a number of times while in the minor leagues?
  22. Especially when they forced you to endure years of tanking to get to this point and the statements and actions (or lack thereof) of this clown show front office.
  23. Neither Seattle nor Tampa Bay were better teams in 2000 or 2008. But even if we agree these two teams were far superior and unceremoniously booted the Sox from the playoffs in these years the point is that Cleveland has been in the postseason far more than Jerry’s Sox. He should be embarrassed.
  24. Cleveland has been better than the Sox, far better, for the last thirty years. They’ve had three World Series appearances. Lost in the ALCS twice. Lost in the ALDS six times. It’s fairly close to perennial. The Sox have 2000, 2005, 2008, 2021. Three of those were embarrassing exits.
