I dont know much about Haseley but from a quick search: 1st round pick, 8th overall in 2017. Four picks ahead of Jake Burger. Bats and throws lefty. Can play CF. Unimpressive offensive numbers in parts of 3 seasons in the Bigs.

Good. The Sox coasting to a division championship is not beneficial. Plus, hopefully this forces us to make a big move now.

Well, the Sox options are narrowing. The trade Kimbrel, sign Conforto, trade for a SP scenario is still alive though....

The Sox moved Moncada to 3B after not signing Machado. I think they had a pretty good idea of what they had at 3B moving forward, with or without Machado. You're stating speculation as fact regarding the Sox outlook on Harper/Machado.

I'm still expecting the Sox to make a "big" move whether it's trading for a SP from Oak or signing a RF. I think the timing of their anticipated moves as well as the Freeman/Jansen signings are holding things up. They likely need to move Kimbrel to clear up money for RF or move him to get the prospects for the SP trade. I think we'll see a quick flurry of moves once these dominoes fall.

Would love to see Ramirez leave the division but at the same time, its tough to see other contenders beefing up like this. Hopefully the potential haul Cleveland receives is a bust.

Hahn also mentioned that Crochet may be in the 2021 Kopech role. Spot starts and multiple inning bullpen appearances. As it stands now, rotation is: Lynn Gio Cease Kopech Keuchel/Lopez Crochet So there is enough depth there as it stands to have this unorthodox 6 man rotation scenario. Having said that, I agree that we will trade for a starter. We need another quality veteran in the rotation. There's too much uncertainty beyond Gio and Lynn. Need another reliable mid rotation type. Bassitt makes a lot of sense.
