If you think there weren't several teams lining up trying to trade for Kimbrel at the deadline, then you're clueless. The move didn't work but at the time, Kimbrel was a hot commodity.

If the Sox eat any money, he may have some value. Just takes one team to think they can get the Kimbrel of the first half.

That's a great story, thanks for sharing. There's nothing quite like being a kid and being a sports fan. The 2000 Sox were the first team that really got me hooked. That team was a ton of fun to watch. I watched Baseball Tonight on ESPN every night back then in the summer. Good times.

This season gave us the Rodon no-no, the Field of Dreams walk off, a Division Championship, and the amazing ALDS Game 3. There are many more awesome moments I'm probably missing. The Sox will be back stronger next year. For now, I shift to college football mode. Go Hawkeyes.

I was there too. My brother and I were walking on the concourse to leave the game when Konerko hit a 2run HR to make it 9-2. We sat down and stayed for the rest. Incredible game to be at despite the loss.
