I was a senior in high school, I skipped 8th period to watch the beginning of game 1 ALDS vs the Rays and got to my buddy's house in time to see DeWayne Wise's 3-run HR...it was all down hill from there the rest of the day. Now i'm 30, married, with a house and a baby...and another on the way. It's a great day to clinch!

What happens if we win game 1 tomorrow? Do we celebrate on the field and in the locker room with beer/champagne? There's still another game to play that day.

Not sure if stats back me up on this but it feels like the Sox lose the majority of these type of games. We win when we jump on the opposition early and often. Feels like if we gain a small lead, surrender it, then we just end up going cold the rest of the game and giving up a late run to lose.

Great news. Let's see if he can get to 85-90 pitches, throw 95+ MPH, and command his slider. That's what I'll be looking for vs. actual results.
