I would have agreed with this but the Twins beat writer who is claiming that Cruz and the Twins aren't close makes this whole thing interesting to me. It feels like this is all a bunch of nonsense that ends with Cruz back in Minnesota but why is the Twins guy so adamant that it's unlikely?

Everything depends on price so I walk back my 'no' a little bit. If you can get him for next to nothing, then fine. But acquiring him won't move the needle for me at all. Hasn't had a FIP below 4.6 since 2016 and he was horrendous last season while dealing with a shoulder injury. His one saving grace is that he made 30 starts in both 2018 and 2019, so I guess we could use the innings.

Maybe the Sox are the best offer for Cruz but he's holding out hope that the NL has a DH and more offers will come through. Ridiculous that MLB hasn't resolved the NL DH situation yet just a few weeks before Spring Training.

Quintana at 8 is better than Richards at 10. At this point it looks like Sox will either go the big splash trade route and ship off a bunch of young talent or sign a very underwhelming free agent. Too bad they won't just sign Bauer for money.

Hopefully this doesn't mean the end of the NBC Sports streaming app. Use that app a lot for streaming games.

Maybe to a certain extent but it seems like Hector shares these things as if he's reading them on twitter and then sharing them as fact. Shouldn't a reporter verify this stuff if he has sources. Shouldn't Hector see the Heyman tweet, text Cruz to confirm, and then confirm that he is hearing the same from his sources? It just feels like Hector does get good info but also is a little bit reckless when it comes to the journalistic side of things.

Here's what I don't understand about Hector. Why does he constantly share other reporters' tweets? If he is an insider himself, which he appears to be based on his relationships, why does he regurgitate other guys' info? Shouldn't he be trusting his own relationships and own info instead of reporting what Heyman is saying about the Cruz/Twins negotiations?

Right. I think fathom is just saying this isn't Hector teasing Sox fans by saying "Good news for Sox fans, Cruz is going outside of the division". Hector is hinting "Good news for Sox fans, Cruz is going to the Sox".

Hector seems pretty adamant on this one. He's fighting with all naysayers on twitter right now and defending his record of breaking news.

I've never played RBI baseball but I think it's more designed toward arcade mode style baseball. The Show tries to capture baseball realistically (and does a great job), while RBI is more of a "fun" version of a baseball video game.
