  1. In fairness, it was already a shitshow before he showed up.
  2. The Sox have filled RF and SP. While they may still be in the market for another SP, I think the closer role is the biggest remaining question mark for this offseason. Let the rumors commence:
  3. They asked if they think TLR, after being out of the game for so long, will have trouble relating to younger players. Eaton then laughed and said, "I gave you your two minutes, have a good day." And hung up.
  4. Did anybody just hear Adam Eaton hang up on Carmen and Jurko? LOL
  5. Chuck has been pushing this narrative hard this week. He has a personal relationship with Eaton. I guess that's how he scooped this one.
  6. The Cubs traded Gleyber Torres for two months of Chapman. And they'd do it again if they had the chance, because it got them a ring. These are the type of moves you make at this point in a rebuild. I get being bummed to see Dunning go, I like him too. But this is how the sport works. There are still plenty of arms in the stable: Kopech, Cease, Crochet, Stiever, Kelley, Thompson, Dalquist, etc.
  7. The Darvish/Heyward deal was for Dunning. The Sox opted to go the Lynn + FA RF instead.
  8. One of the publications (baseball prospectus i think) inexplicably had him ranked #10 in our system so some comments have been made about him in the last couple of days
  9. If the money is right he makes a lot of sense. LHH RF who hits RHP really well. Allows the Sox to maximize Engel too as a RF starter vs. LHP and late inning defensive replacement for Eloy in LF.
  10. Hahn traded Adam Eaton for 2/5ths of our 2021 starting staff...plus Lopez. A win by any measure.
  11. Agree 100% Dunning is a nice piece but it's time to win a World Series. Lynn is huge for this rotation. We kept our 'untouchables' and there is still plenty of offseason left to add to this roster.
  12. Let's goooo!! Need to see return and if there is more to this deal (a RF?) But this is a big add for the rotation in 2021.
  13. I don't trust these accounts but this reaction makes it seem like someone other than Heyward for RF.
  14. Ted Williams Frozen Wang is the only insider that I trust
  15. He certainly should be ahead of Dunning and Madrigal. His ceiling is a legitimate Ace, best pitcher on the planet. Not sure how they factor injury risk into these rankings but if you don't factor in injury risk, his floor is a lights out back-end of the bullpen arm.
  16. "As much as Chicago White Sox fans are frothing for George Springer to round out their dynamic lineup, he is extraordinarily unlikely to sign with Chicago for a number of reasons, sources told ESPN. Springer's market isn't lacking -- not even with him valuing himself at center-field prices. The White Sox don't need a center fielder, though, with the dynamic Luis Robert holding down the position; and paying center-field prices for a corner outfielder isn't the White Sox's style. Actually, paying nine figures for anyone isn't how team owner Jerry Reinsdorf operates. And with the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets among a large group interested in Springer, Chicago is likelier to seek a left-handed bat -- someone like Springer's old Astros teammate Michael Brantley."
  17. Erik Johnson? You're the # 1 piece the Sox traded for James Shields. Lucky for us, you never amounted to much in the MLB. Good trade.
