    I guess then why did Getz sign both Slater and Tauchman? Unless he is operating under the expectation that Robert will be gone. I wouldn't do it... But Getz has shown he would under certain circumstances imo.

    I just get the feeling Getz will take the best offer he can get prior to the season beginning and cut his losses of risk of holding him until the deadline similar to Cease.

    It may have, maybe certain pitchers benefited more from Spider Tak? AKA, Giolito's change was INSANE with it.

    I'm not fighting... but I think it's silly to not assume all teams (many players) used it... Similar to steroids during the roids era.

    What a silly trade for a massive market team. You get junk, just to shed a contract (that's not terrible), even though youre 'going for it' this year.

    That just seems like a major overpay by the Reds. I would think Arroyo straight up is closer to reality, imo. Reds fans are more in line with your proposal though, which is good to see.

    Rounds aren't important in the MLB draft.. He was an underslot 4th rounder. So his value was much less than that.

    These types of trades never happen but I'd be all for it if someone valued catching more than another position prospect of similar ilk.
