  1. This makes me nervous that he's being brought in as a starter.
  2. They'd clearly want prospects that don't need protected.
  3. Hmmm, maybe Wendle would be a good fit. What would he take?
  4. This has to be at least a B. Getting Conforto is huge and exactly what the team/offense needs. Got a great 2B/9 hole hitter. Some work will need to be done at the deadline for SP/RP and that's fine.
  5. If we got another lefty for the outfield (Conforto) I am absolutely fine with another RH for 2B.
  6. My #1 target is still available. So I'm not panicking yet.
  7. I think I'd rather have Rodon at 3/55 than Ray/Gauseman at 5/110+. I have just as much faith in them as I do in Rodon. But Rodon is half the cost with half the years.
  8. This is also true. But couldn't they have also not offered him it because they thought he would accept it AND they had their sights set higher (Scherzer/Verlander) but clearly missed? I think that's also possible.
  9. I'd offer Rodon that. I'll take a little risk that his 2020 was real and a new Rodon. 3/55 is a small enough risk for that production imo.
  10. Were they in (or thought they were in) on any of the guys that signed?
  11. There just aren't many FA available that I'd consider significiant updades at 2B. Must be a trade. I am REALLY wanting McNeil from the Mets.
  12. I wanted nothing to do with the Ray and Gausman contracts.
  13. under this scenario, I am trading Kimbrel for Segura and dumping Keuchel to anyone, may have to give some cash there.
  14. Over 200. To get that to work, you'd also have to dump Keuchel for salary relief. (which I am fine with lol)
  15. I am saying people who have won that award generally become great players. Why would we sell Vaughn at his lowest point.
  16. This would be good for the Kimbrell trade market if he leaves LA
  17. Andrew Vaughn won the Golden Spikes award for the best college player. Here are the past winners before him: 2016: Kyle Lewis (ROY) 2015: Benintendi (eh) 2014: AJ Reed (Ouch) 2013-2001: Kris Bryant (great), Zunino (fine), Bauer (great), Harper (great), Strasburg (great), Posey (great), Price (great), Lincecum (great), Gordon (great), Weaver (great), Weeks (good), Prior (great) All in all, the vast majortity of the people who won that award went on to be very very good/great MLB players. Not sure why so many here have practically given up on Vaughn (yes trading him for Bassit/Gray is giving up on him).
  18. I don't think so. Wasn't he absolutely horrible after the sticky stuff crack down?
