  1. They're a good team without Harper. This doesn't mean it's in the bag... Though I've thought for weeks Harper to Phillies and Machado to Sox is a forgone conclusion
  2. Questionable bullpen. Questionable SP. Bad depth. Their team isn't as great as it was 3 years ago.
  3. What smoke? Am I missing something? I thought this just sounded like... "yeah the Sox are still in a good spot"
  4. That's about what I'd expect assuming our team stays the same as it is now (No Machado)
  5. Literally this wouldn't happen... Why would a pitcher say I am hurt so that he can come out of the game and stop helping my team? This statement literally makes no sense
  6. That was a part of my first post.. In between the innings give the pitcher JUST 3 pitches and the game is on. No one else has balls. Just the pitcher. Way shorter break
  7. Because in 20 years when most die hard fans die, so will the game.
  8. As I've stated... it isn't boring for someone already invested. It isn't even boring for me. It is boring for everyone who isn't invested in the game and for the young people. Meaning the game isn't going to pickup any new fans. Little league will die, athletes will choose other sports, the game will get worse and so forth. They need to not make it boring for the casual fan or person who isn't a fan yet.
  9. Because the game is boring now and it isn't attracting new fans. "Baseball has been played the way it is now for well over 100 years" is a straight up lie OR you just don't know. It's only been recently that this new bullpen fetish has started. Back in the day guys would pitch the whole game no matter what. Hell when we won the WS we had guys going 9 innings. Now a days those guys are pulled at 6 pretty much no matter what and then there's 200 bullpen changes in the game. It's a different (more boring) game than it was 10 years ago.
  10. I agree. I don't think they'd abruptly change it since NL teams haven't ahd time to plan.
  11. 3 batter minimum needs to happen if we don't want our lovely game to die of boredom. Also the pitcher batting is just straight stupid and boring. I'm in favor of universal DH
  12. Literally that is the single biggest thing the game needs to do if it doesn't want to die. The whol enter for one batter thing costs the game SO much time. Imagine all the vistis, and warm ups. There needs to be a 3 batter minimum or something to keep the game flowing. If a RP can't get out RH hitters then he shouldn't be in the league, and vice versa
  13. former top 30. But yeah, he has some value still I'd imagine.
  14. We will easily bang out another 1,000 completely pointless posts
  15. I'd love to buy low on Brinson. But I don't think there's any way he gets traded.
  16. Both of your statements are just wrong.. oh well
  17. LOL. Harper isn't even close to a better player than Machado. He is a good player with GREAT marketability.
  18. I take them both as uppers. SD isn't leading so they're going to see if they will up it, meanning they're behind
  19. you don't fix baseball (yes it's broken) until you can solve the amount of time it takes to play a game. Too many visits to the mound, too many conversations, pitchers throwing over 50 times an at bat, the time inbetween innings, it all needs to be re-done. They need to get rid of the warm up between innings, they really do, that alone will save 5+ minutes per inning. Give the SP 3 pitches and then we go. No other balls on the field.
  20. Cease, Eloy, Robert and Adolfo. If I were a betting man
  21. The fact that you used the word "kerfuffle" makes me love and appreciate you even more.. You keep hoppin' RaBBit
  22. Yeah, I get that. But that doesn't make him the better player. It just means he has more potential (which I agree with). Whether he EVER hits that is unknown.
