  1. Your takes on this trade are crazy. Sure Hahn shouldn't be the one trading, sure it sucks that we are already rebuilding AGAIn... but if you look at this trade alone, how can you be mad about getting a consensus top 100 catching prospect (who is crazy young), and a SP prospect that likely slots in around a Pallette and Cannon?
  2. Who'd have thunk we'd need this thread again just 3 years later ;(
  3. I find it hard to believe a team with Montgomery and Schultz would be ranked 29th.
  4. So... We coulda just got Madrigal in the 11th round?
  5. I'd love Dollander at 15. Swing for the fences
  6. No idea.. but that's why I give him a shot
  7. I don't think anyone is advocating he's a build around guy.. But if he could be a 25+ homer guy, with a .800 OPS, he can be a guy we don't need to immediately upgrate.
  8. Burger deserves a longer look. We suck, let him play every day
  9. Just make him a UTL when he comes back. He doesn't deserve full time 3B.
  10. Burn it down now.. Less time for an unexpected injury and more time for losses that'll better our draft position.
  11. It was CRAZY to not offer Rodon the QO.. However, the two pitchers didn't have the same situation. Rodon had his first good and healthy year ever, and Gio had a few strong years. One is certainly an easier decision.
  12. I wonder if the DBacks will try to make any moves to actually contend this year or if they'll just run it out without major additions since they're "a year early".. If they do, Giolito makes a ton of sense, along with some bullpen arms.
  13. Robert at least has like 5 years or something. Cease would be selling low and idk what Kopech gets you back, and you still need some arms. I'd hold onto all 3 unless someone blew your socks off (not likely)
  14. You absolutely should trade the 1 year control guys AND Anderson. No sense in holding them. It's not like this team has shown prior year success to where you can hope they turn it around. They haven't shown that in the past, so why assume now.
  15. No one would move the team out of the 3rd biggest market. The only solution is him selling the team or dying
  16. He was the top guy I wanted to move this offseason.. damn
