Bring the brooms to the stadium bc we are going for the sweep. Yeah you heard it right, the Sox have come to play this series and have a real shot a sweeping the lowly Royals back to KC. It looks like a bullpen day for the Royals so the bats better come to mash. In all likelihood Frazier makes his Sox debut in RF and hopefully keeps the power coming. Lynn needs to be his ruthless old self. Take no prisoner and hammer home all versions the ole number 1 up in the zone until they can't see straight. Pitching Matchup: Lineup: Go Sox!!!

Today we get our first look at Michael Kopech and hopefully his insane changeup A lot of pundits seem down on Michael Kopech this offseason, I am higher than ever? Kopech was spectacular before his initial injury last season, which was his first full season as a SP in the majors. After the injury, which the White Sox horribly mismanaged, Kopech was a different pitcher. Because the team had him pitch through his initial injury (torn meniscus) it caused a loss in velocity, which ultimately caused him to over compensate in his delivery leading to the last injury in September. April – June 12: 51.2 IP, 1.92 ERA, 3.10 FIP, 25.2 K%, 11.9 BB%, .136 BAA June 19 – Sept 13: 67.2 IP, 5.19 ERA, 5.57 FIP, 18.5 K%, 11.3 BB%, .241 BAA In 11 of 25 starts on the season he lasted 4+ innings and gave up 3 hits or less (8 of 10 before the injury) In 4 starts he went 5+ innings and while giving up 1 hit or less (all before the injury) Kopech's best game came after the injury: 6 IP, 0 H, 11 K against Detroit where he used 7.1% changeups. Its not a coincidence that his best start came with by far his largest % usage of a changeup. If Kopech worked on the changeup and refined it to make it a usable pitch (even at 10%) and his knee has heeled, then look for the stats before the injury to be boosted even more with Kopech being more towards a SP2 for the Sox Looks like Colas is in RF today and Burger back at 3B

Giolito vs McKenzie

Rodon vs. Burnes Hopefully the team comes out with some fire after yesterday!

It's time for an extended White Sox winning streak. Lucas Giolito takes the hill tonight, coming off of two no decisions (both White Sox wins). He is the designated stopper tonight. The opposing starter is Tyler Anderson, Pittsburgh's LHP who has lost his last two starts, and has won once since April 21st. The White Sox are 20-18 all time, 9-11 on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Starting Lineups will be posted later today. My projected starting lineup is: SS TA (R), CF AE (R), 3B YM (S), 1B JA (R), LF AV (R), RF LG (S), 2B DM (R), C ZC (L), SP LG (R). Bullpen Usage is linked here, with Foster the only pitcher who may be restricted tonight after 33 pitches on Sunday. Go White Sox!

Plesac vs. Rodon What crazy line up will Tony come up with next? Indians Line Up: Luplow Hernandez Ramirez Reyes Rosario, E Rosario, A Naylor Perez Chang Must be nice to have a consistent line up

Lynn gets the start, Robert (#1), Vaughn (#3) and Engel (#5) coupled with starting catcher Mercedes (#4) are the lineup notables. Meanwhile, the Player "who shall not be named" gets the day off for the White Sox opponents at Camelback Ranch. However, Sox bats face another tough pitcher in Blake Snell.
