bmags
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) As long as he's better than Coats/Avi then I'll be happy. That isn't too hard to do Pretty much all of the "He can't be worse than X" decisions we've made have been wrong, they can all be that bad. Steve9347
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) At this pace he'll be unstoppable at Great Falls Oh man I just LOL'd so hard.
southsider2k5
Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 45m45 minutes ago Justin Morneau is 28 plate appearances into his rehab. He thought he might need 20-30. Spring training is normally 50 or so.
CWSpalehoseCWS
I just have this terrible feeling the Sox are going to call Morneau the "Trade-Deadline Acquisition" and he's going to blow.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 05:21 PM) I just have this terrible feeling the Sox are going to call Morneau the "Trade-Deadline Acquisition" and he's going to blow. The good news is he will be with the team for 2 weeks before the deadline so he can be evaluated. I would totally agree with you if he wasn't going to be ready until after the deadline. If Mourneau isn't swinging well they bring in another hitter IMO.

CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 05:14 PM) Morneau not in Birminghams lineup tonight Most likely on his way to California without the pressure of a late night flight after the game. Probably will be in Anaheim this evening and get a lot of rest for the game.
SCCWS
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 07:08 PM) The good news is he will be with the team for 2 weeks before the deadline so he can be evaluated. I would totally agree with you if he wasn't going to be ready until after the deadline. If Mourneau isn't swinging well they bring in another hitter IMO. If the "rumor" they are trying to trade for a CF is true, I think that is the bat and Morneau is here regardless of his production. Jake
Main thing to take away from Morneau's stint is that he hasn't struck out much at all. That means he's not getting blown away by live competition.
caulfield12
And, if he actually had the opportunity to face Charlotte's staff, his OPS would 1.000+.
