Rodon never really registered with the farm system. He was barely there. If the Sox had done the traditional thing of having these guys put up huge numbers at low levels, the rankings would have loved them.

Instead they are actual major leaguers, which is better than ranked minor leaguers.

They were at 20 heading into 2015 with Rodon ranked 15. Problem is outside of Anderson from that lost, everyone has seen their star diminish.

Woo hoo 29 straight scoreless innings. Oh Abreu I love the 2 doubles . But did you really think Shoemaker was going to throw you a strike there with 1st base open and you hitting him well the 1st 2 AB's. A smart hitter like Ortiz would've took that pitch 99/100 times.

Fantastic post

Abreu has chased 306 pitches out of the strike zone and leads the majors in that category. He needs to adjust that or hes going to get worse

Any idea where he ranked the previous two years

Not sure. Stone rattled that stat off when he was batting. Have noticed hes horrible with swinging at strikes down and away

Sure, and if they had been dragging Rodon through the minors at a traditional pace, he'd be a top 10 in all of MLB prospect racking up ridiculous numbers in Birmingham or Charlotte right now.

Stellar game from Shields to matchand exceed Gonzalez last night.

0 runs in 29 straight inning ls though.

I feel a Morneau 2 run bomb coming up.

Back end of our rotation has held up lately and we have been wasting it.
