I have no idea what this management team will actually do the next 2 weeks or so. I was really hoping that after the all star break the team would make it very clear what direction to take, buy or sell, and so far they have.

I really, really hope that, as much as it goes against the big inner Sox fan in me, that they keep on looking absolutely horrible for the rest of the month. That would make the decision extremely clear. If that happens, the Sox brain trust, at least in my mind, better be selling like gang busters. If they aren't really selling at that point, I'll have my answer in no uncertain terms on their competency.

That being said, they will probably go 8 - 6 the rest of July and screw us again.

I am not going to argue with folks with closed minds or those who can't appreciate how hard this game us. It's one thing to complain or bevuoset, I get that we all are, but be realistic about our options. I like all you guys but negative thoughts and comments and the constant bit**ing does nothing but promote more negativity

It's called being realistic and trying to come up with constructive thoughts about modern baseball. The Sox aren't playing modern baseball and it's frustrating. Just putting a smile on our faces and hoping they win today's game is for some people, and that's fine. But you need to let people vent. This isn't a contest to see who can be the biggest homer and loyal to the Sox.

Sox probably need a Bill Wirtz like passing for that to happen sad enough to say or think. JR won't sell given his age.

This exactly. Unfortunate but true. The Sox will be stuck in mediocrity as long as the current ownership group is in charge. Don't have the balls to blow it up and won't open the pocketbooks to bring in any top flight free agents.

About as to be expected by Turner.

my question is What is on the front office's mind? . Why bring a guy up to pitch when his AAA numbers are a 4.71 ERA with 29 walks? How in the world do they expect this guy to compete with Major league pitching? So what in the friggin' purpose of this move? If that is the best that we have in our system, then geeeez we have absolutely no chance whatsoever.

Fun seeing AAA pitching face MLB hitting isn't it?

So glad I did not waste my time watching this game.

Makes little to no sense why they call up Fulmer to have him sit on the bench and trot this a****** to the mound. Fulmer could have at least gotten his feet wet in the starting role.

Getting beat by a last place team by a score of 16-1 over 3 games promotes negativity.

The Sox have 1 run. Might as well hang the L on Turner than waste a good start by someone els.

I guess you have to since our offense seems to be on extended vacation

I'm not saying KW would do any better than RH. It's time to look outside of the organization for someone that can get the job done.

Agreed. Teams are building small armies of stats and sabremetrics specialists with complex supercomputers to help them make the right decisions. Find an assistant in one of those organizations and start over.

Jason McLeod should be the next GM
