flavum
I've said this year Quintana will never win a Cy--and he may not. But I was wrong for saying it. He's definitely in the mix. ERA under 3 now. AL leader in Pitcher WAR. http://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/...ue_pitching::18 Sale, Quintana, Hamels, Tillman, a few others. 11-12 starts left for these guys. I know who I'm rooting for. OmarComing25
This isn't the mid-2000s anymore, Tillman shouldn't be in the mix just because of his record, and I don't think he is. I'm also going to be pretty upset if Hamels wins it with his very mediocre FIP. He's not deserving.
flavum
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 10:21 AM) This isn't the mid-2000s anymore, Tillman shouldn't be in the mix just because of his record, and I don't think he is. I'm also going to be pretty upset if Hamels wins it with his very mediocre FIP. He's not deserving. There's two months left. All of those guys are in the mix with different strengths. Obviously wins are low on the list for qualifying, but ERA, innings pitched, and giving his team a chance to win most starts counts. BTW, have you ever noticed most of your posts have a tinge of know-it-all asshattery? Maybe cool it a little with that. You can have a discussion and make points without being a jerk about it. daggins
Huge discrepancy between fWAR and bWAR on Hamels, but he could win it due to low ERA. Favorites are still probably Sale, Salazar, Kluber, Tanaka, and Aaron Sanchez. Michael Fulmer probably won't have enough IP.
ChiSoxFanMike
I want Sale to win it the most, but obviously I'm rooting for Q if Sale doesn't get it.
Quin
Since we won't go to playoffs, Q getting it would be the most satisfying.
ChiliIrishHammock24
Quintana just a hair below Kluber for fWAR leader in the AL. That start alone yesterday netted Quintana 0.5 WAR alone.
