Feeky Magee
Hansen now 5.0 IP, 0H, 1BB, 10K. 9 swinging.
winninguglyin83
Until a few others, Alex Hansen actually needs to be promoted. At least Kannapolis for the final month, if Collins is at Winston Salem and Burdi at Birmingham
Feeky Magee
Schnurbusch now 2-3, 2B, HR, K. Interesting note: Schnurbusch's BABIP coming into the game (will have risen) was an absurd .557 in 157 PA. The all-time MLB season BABIP leader with minimum 150 PA was Ross Barnes of the 1876 White Stockings with a .438 BABIP. Would be interested to know if Schnurbusch is chasing a MiLB record. Bigsoxhurt35
This f***ing draft! Hansen is a boss. Wow. Collins, Burdi, Hansen. Future stud hitter, closer and ace.

Sox Fan In Husker Land
I mean what else can Hansen do at the rookie ball level? 26 2/3 IP 9 H 7 BB 0.60 WHIP 5 ER 1.69 ERA 43 K 14.51 K/9 2.36 BB/9 6.14 K:BB It would be so nice if he turned out to be an ace. maxjusttyped
Props to the White Sox development staff for getting Hansen turned around. That is a very pleasant surprise. Edited August 6, 2016 by maxjusttyped
BigHurt3515
Hansen could be the biggest steal of the draft. Is there any video of him? Edited August 6, 2016 by BigHurt3515
maxjusttyped
Too early to say Hansen is the Sox top pitching prospect?
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 10:16 PM) Too early to say Hansen is the Sox top pitching prospect? We should probably wait but I think he's firmly a top 100 guy at this time next year and the #1 or #2 prospect in the system.
Bigsoxhurt35
We'll see how he handles the promotion. I'd certainly put him up in the top 5.
ChiliIrishHammock24
To be fair, top college pitches should do well in rookie ball. Obviously it's a great sign that Hansen is torching the league with GF, but until he starts doing really well at W-S, I am not going to put him above Fulmer or maybe even Burdi, if Burdi can transition to a starter. ChiliIrishHammock24
While everyone is ignoring Booker, I'll update you on his tear through the minors so far. Went 3/4 today with a 2B, HR, 3 RBI and a walk. Zangari had 3 doubles today with an RBI. Up to .271 on the year.

Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 6, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) Don't go crazy on him yet. It is rookie ball where he should dominate. It's not just about him dominating, it's also the fact he's barely walking anyone. Him being in rookie ball shouldn't take anything away from that. Quin
QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 6, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) Don't go crazy on him yet. It is rookie ball where he should dominate. The control is the major key. This is a guy who was getting rocked by college players earlier this year, to suddenly looking like the early favorite to go 1-1.
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 6, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) Don't go crazy on him yet. It is rookie ball where he should dominate. Nobody is going crazy. Problem with Soxtalk: Young players struggle in A ball and they automatically are bad picks. Young players do well in rookie ball and it's because it's rookie ball. I am reasonably excited about Hansen, the realist side of me feels that top prospects (almost 22 years old) are expected to dominate rookie ball.
