Donaldo
I was listening to Kaplan on ESPN 1000 the other day, and he kept teasing about how he spoke to a longtime scout who told him exactly how dysfunctional the White Sox front office really is. Anybody catch what he had to say? I missed it.
kitekrazy
If that longtime scout is part of the organization then it is the pot calling the kettle black.
GreatScott82
Didn't catch that. But does anybody believe the front office is functional? They obviously have no clue how to put together a playoff team, let alone a .500 team. Between that and the crappy farm system--this organization is in a very bad spot. As long as triumvirate of stupidity is here- we are hopeless.
elrockinMT
what makes them think the front office is dysfunctional? Only because there is a losing record at this time? Whwn they say things like this I would want to see concrete examples

Anybody catch what he had to say? I missed it. Buster Olney basically said the same thing on ESPN after the trade deadline passed. Talked about "chain of command" issues. No surprise, has been going on for years. Mark

caulfield12
Difficulty getting on the same side/consensus in order to pull off a midseason trade in a timely manner....Hahn doesn't want to tear apart the team he constructed over the last couple of seasons because it will make him look incompetent, essentially. I really dont think hahn wanted to compete in the first place. If it was up to him they would still probably be rebuilding. We all have to know the wanting to compete sooner then should came from jerry.

Yes - Given how incoherent their strategy has been the past few years, I do believe it is dysfunctional and I think it has a lot to do with the power dynamic between Hahn and Kenny (among other things). winninguglyin83
No franchise philosophy. No player development. History of bad draft picks. Blah manager who is not respected by his best player The W-L record is functioning precisely the way I'd expect it to.

Haha. All I know is everyone has failed. The results speak for themselves. None of us know the dynamic of a struggle and I have no idea, it could be Kenny who is making the better decisions. None of us know...I do know the results have been poor.

Can't make up their minds about a direction for the team and get caught with their hands down their pants at the deadline yet again.

Sleepy Harold
another hot take, FWIW whitesoxdave @barstoolWSD I try not to be one to start rumors unless there's pretty substantial evidence proving them, but I've heard this too twitter.com/licensetogill/… Ryan Gill @LicenseToGill @barstoolWSD there's rumblings that Rick Hahn is walking away from this mess after the season because KW is still calling the shots 1:23pm · 16 Aug 2016 · Twitter for iPhone Chicago, IL, United States link Edited August 16, 2016 by Sleepy Harold
Baron
Kenny should just put Rick Hahn out of his misery and take control then. Edited August 16, 2016 by Baron
