fathom
QUOTE (southside hitman @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 09:51 PM) Fulmer's night is....not going well. Gonna need a minor miracle for him to become a big league starter. So close to getting Benintendi instead!
GGajewski18
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 05:20 PM) Gonna need a minor miracle for him to become a big league starter. So close to getting Benintendi instead! It's been half a year. Calm down.
fathom
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 11:38 PM) It's been half a year. Calm down. Just want to know what happened to his stuff. Velocity is way down. I don't think he was ever going to have pinpoint command. Definitely a lost season for him.
flavum
Agreed. Bad year for Fulmer. He's more suspect than prospect. In my humble opinion, his whole delivery needs to be broken down and built back up if he's ever going to be a 32 start, 200 inning guy. I don't see that now at all. Jake
His velocity averaged over 93, I'm not seeing this "way down" unless you kept seeing his cutters at 88-90 and thinking they were slow fastballs.

flavum
Adams was moved up to AA for no apparent reason. I kind of put him and Michalczewski in the same boat...young for the level, so let's see how they do there next year and not worry about it too much. Chicago White Sox
Outside of the recent draft class, this has been an absolutely horrible year for our farm system. The vast majority of our top prospects have underperformed and very few prospects have broken out. The entire organization is a disaster at the moment. Yep, that's what I was getting at with the draft class comment. Complete disaster of a development year for the system outside of Anderson and the draft class. The sooner Buddy Bell leaves, the better
flavum
Good start for Holmberg. And Leury is at .346. How has he not made it up once with all of the injuries this year?
Jake
Our current prospect strategy would put Adams as our opening day starter next year

oldsox
Leury with a couple more hits. He needs a new agent.
caulfield12
Leury kind of hearkens back to those halycon days when Micah, Carlos Sanchez and Saladino were seen as the future 2b. Saladino MIGHT still be a regular at some point, but the problem was you needed to combine all three of those guys into one to get a truly useful starting player at the big league level. GreenSox
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 19, 2016 -> 10:17 PM) Leury kind of hearkens back to those halycon days when Micah, Carlos Sanchez and Saladino were seen as the future 2b. Saladino MIGHT still be a regular at some point, but the problem was you needed to combine all three of those guys into one to get a truly useful starting player at the big league level. Leury can also play OF. he actually could be a decent utility player if he can hit just a little (and he's hit better this year, last I checked). Saladino might be regular - I agree with that characterization.
