greg775
Holy bleep. We win, 9-1? At home? Happy days are here again (for a night) for our fans. Seriously, we don't win too many blowouts. Anderson back to 280; Morneau with a dinger, 1-4, I'd be OK with us resigning him (I bet we don't). Rodon did well. This is one of those games that made our front office think we'd contend the second half. Once in a while the Sox play like this. Usually they do not. Savor it cause overall this team blows. GO SOX! Leonard Zelig
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 24, 2016 -> 12:59 AM) Only 8.5 games out boys! Don't stop now!
greg775
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 24, 2016 -> 05:59 AM) Only 8.5 games out boys! Just shows how 'easy' it is to be in the wildcard race nowadays. Now I'm not saying we are in the race. But if we had lost 50 percent less of the dysfunctional bizarre games this season, we'd actually be in the race. I know our team does not pass the playoff eye test, but folks, it's not that difficult to stay in the race. That's why Robin has to be given the kick out the door. bmags
In MY rule book, Anderson was 2-3 with a sacrifice groundout.

southsider2k5
Even with the injuries and some scary line ups out there, the offense has looked better recently. Especially with Abreu starting to look like Abreu, it hasn't been so bad. It is also worth noting for Rodon since the calendar turned to August he is... 2-0 |24.2 IP| 5R| 4ER| 1.46 ERA| 19H |20K| 5 BB| 0.972 WHIP

You can tell he is learning. Still gets caught up in quite a few 10 pitch at bats that he can't seem to find his out pitch. Reminds me a bit of 2002/3 Jon Garland watching him pitch. With as much movement as he has on pitches, he may well be a guy who throws 7 innings, but it takes him 125 pitches to do it.
Lip Man 1
Don't see many Sox blow out wins anymore that's for sure. Mark
