Ducksnort
Anyone remember that game Shields pitched against Detroit where he gave up like 7 or 8 runs, then the Sox came back to win it? I was at that game, one of the best I've been to. So, I do have Shields to thank for that.

Soxfest
I feel like Danks is still here every time Shields pitches, Sox seem to lose. Edited August 25, 2016 by Soxfest

oldsox
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 24, 2016 -> 08:36 PM) 0-2 hanger for homer number 2. Dumbest acquisition in Sox history I always thought the acquisition of Manny was the dumbest ever, but this one is much worse. I'm surprised the media isn't bashing Hahn over this one. Maybe they don't care.

greg775
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 25, 2016 -> 01:47 AM) Media doesn't even know Sox exist now with Bears starting and the Cubs the greatest team to ever be assembled It's never been this bad in terms of relevancy. Sox are completely irrelevant. Sickening decisions by front office and players who refuse to play hard. It equals this crap team. I wonder if joining the Sox is considered akin to joining a country club in baseball circles.
greg775
Typical White Sox. Last night a stellar game, any fan had to be loving life. Tonight ... dead as can be. At least Navarro lit up the scoreboard. Other than that another gawd-awful game.

greg775
One of the things I won't miss about the Robin era is our team just conceding games. If we're down two runs after six innings, generally speaking, forget about it. We ain't winning. Maybe even after five innings.
greg775
Sox have five hits. Anderson with as bad a game tonight as compared to a great game last night. Now he's down to .276 after hitting .280. Hahn built a horrible baseball lineup. Our team is a nightmare on offense.

fathom
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 25, 2016 -> 02:41 AM) Sox have five hits. Anderson with as bad a game tonight as compared to a great game last night. Now he's down to .276 after hitting .280. Hahn built a horrible baseball lineup. Our team is a nightmare on offense. No excuse for so many low OPS numbers throughout the lineup. Hahn can't produce an offensive lineup and Steverson hasn't been effective with the players he's had.
greg775
Sox will either go quietly 1-2-3 or we'll score two and that insurance run after Robin conceded will be the difference.

The non-Jones and Robertson righties in the bullpen all should be in the minors. Not much Ventura can do.
greg775
Not that it matters, but what a selfish at bat from Melky. Don't need a warning track fly ball down 3 in the ninth leading off.
