Kyyle23
Tales From the Crypt deserves nomination, don't know that it would be best though
bmags
Feel like I need to nominate deadwood even though I don't know it's best
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 28, 2016 -> 09:32 PM) Tales From the Crypt deserves nomination, don't know that it would be best though The first three seasons are just epic. I just finished watching the episode when Demi Moore marries that fat dude because the psychic lady tell her he's about to become rich. ChiliIrishHammock24
Boardwalk.
Chicago White Sox
Sopranos The Wire Game of Thrones Without question the best three, just not sure the order. And where is the Oz love? A truly entertaining show despite its shortcomings.
Kyyle23
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 29, 2016 -> 12:18 AM) The first three seasons are just epic. I just finished watching the episode when Demi Moore marries that fat dude because the psychic lady tell her he's about to become rich. I still vividly remember the ventriloquist episode. So messed up. It's gonna be sad when TNT reboots it and it falls short of expectations
shipps
No TV show has given me the excitement and great anticipation as the Sopranos did.
Brian
QUOTE (shipps @ Aug 29, 2016 -> 09:06 AM) No TV show has given me the excitement and great anticipation as the Sopranos did. I agree with this. Great options but Sopranos is a top 5 show for me. Even the s4 which was pretty bad had me hooked every week. No love for Dream On of 1st and 10? /sarcasm
LittleHurt05
Eastbound and Down
flavum
Dream On was awesome. Who could forget Bagel Girl? But yes, Sopranos.
southsider2k5
It is Soprano's and everything else, though I will say Game of Thrones could beat it. I think their story line is way better, but we have to wait and see how the series finishes.
bigruss
I'm finally watching Oz, I like it a lot so far but not as good as The Wire or Sopranos. GOT still takes the cake for me, the complexity of the amount of characters/setting puts it over Sopranos for me.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 29, 2016 -> 09:54 AM) Eastbound and Down Oh yes, that would be my #2 after Boardwalk.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 29, 2016 -> 10:28 AM) I'm finally watching Oz, I like it a lot so far but not as good as The Wire or Sopranos. GOT still takes the cake for me, the complexity of the amount of characters/setting puts it over Sopranos for me. I really loved Boardwalk more than Sopranos until the last season. They skipped so much good material, and so much compelling story telling to get to an ending that they pretty much wasted the first few seasons of quality. With as few episodes as they are going to make of GOT, I am afraid they are going to do the same thing to it. There is so much great story left to tell, and now they are going to try to cram it all in to a really short period of time. I really hope they don't f*** this up. Y2Jimmy0
The Wire easily for me. True Detective Season 1 is a stand alone so I think that's up there too. Some of the best 8 episodes of television ever IMO
Harry Chappas
Larry Sanders to me was the best but Boardwalk Wire GOT TD season 1 Hell it is easier to name the shows on that list that I was/am not fired up each week to watch.
shipps
HBO vs. Showtime would be interesting. Dexter....

I loved every season actually. My wife is in the same boat as you and thought it fell off but the one thing we can all agree on is that the end was absolutely terrible. Big Hurtin
If I have to pick one, I'll go with The Wire, but they have had so many great series through the years. It annoys me that I didn't have HBO when Larry Sanders aired originally, and it isn't on HBO GO.
Chisoxfn
Band of Brothers (does it count)? If so, it is easily Band of Brothers, followed by Game of Thrones, followed by Entourage.
OmarComing25
Came into this thread expecting the Wire to dominate the poll and conversation, pretty surprised there's little talk of it.
bigruss
I'm surprised so many people love Eastbound and Down, I enjoyed the first season but the schtick got old for me.
