QUOTE (Scoots @ Sep 10, 2016 -> 03:43 AM)
Ventura isn't the best manager but he isn't the worst. I mean, you really can't blame him for the team's performance this year.

And this is why he could be back next year. Our team's performance the last 3 years has reeked. Bye bye.

Saladino is a perfect guy to play on a rebuilding club. Maybe next year he gets his 550+ PAs.

He actually could play on a contending club. The Sox brass should be ashamed of themselves for not recognizing they have a real HITTER here and he should be starting for the White Sox. No reason to underappreciate this guy any more. HE CAN HIT. For real, folks.

Pretty much the same as every year the Sox are out of the playoff hunt. Might be fans rooting for losses to get a better draft pick than rooting for a win. I could never do that I enjoy every Sox win.

Nobody's posting because it's Friday night and our team sucks. That's all. I'm like you. I root for wins. The draft is a joke. Our draft picks have been nothing special. I'll never care about the draft. Give me wins baby.

Typical: White Sox ahead, nobody's posting.

That might have something to do with the fact the Sox have been out of contention for months.

I said earlier in the year he will be Semien 2.0 with how he gets handled.

Good call, soxforlife. You called it. The Sox scouts and talent evaluators are a joke. I see a real hitter; a real baseball player in Saladino. The Sox brass sees a stiff. Sad.

Hold on there a second, he doesn't become Semien 2.0 until he gets packaged with Fulmer for a one year rental this offseason coupled with a few scrap heap signings.

Did it occur to anyone that it is H.S. football season and games are played on Friday evenings?

I'm sure everything mentioned is a contributing factor including what you said. Game threads have been about 3 pages for the last 2 weeks regardless of what day or night of the week it is.

Where did you get that idea? Maybe he spent spent needed time in the minors. People are ready to dump Lawrie but fail to realize in doing that you have made your best utility player a starter and most of the replacements dues to injuries have not been stellar. You end up with "JB Shucks" trying to fill those holes.

Still won with three errors, so yay for that. Seven consecutive quality starts for Rodon? Can he sustain it into 2017 this time?

4-9 against KC on the season. Porcello probably clinched the Cy Young tonight.

I wouldn't go that far. Porcello has nothing on Sale/Kluber except his record, and that's just because he's had far and away the best run support of any pitcher in baseball (over 8 runs a game, more than 1 run ahead of the pitcher in second place). He also doesn't have near the name recognition/reputation of those two.

Starters not named James Shields have been pretty solid.

Latos after first four, Johnson, Danks, Ranaudo....it would be nice to blink them into non-existence.

Didnt Danish even start once?

Gonzalez has definitely been a pleasant surprise, though.
