flavum
Sounds like they're going back to stacking the first five weeks with division games. No 23-10 start next year, that's for sure. 10 minutes.

balfanman
I still do not understand why they place a scheduled day off the day after opening day. It makes much more sense to me to schedule the first series on 3 straight days and have the day off for both teams on Thursday. That way if any of the 3 games have to be cancelled you can make it up on Thursday. The way they do it only covers bad weather on opening day. It happens fairly often where the day they schedule off is a "playable" day weather wise and one of the other days is messed up. It would increase the chances of getting the first series in and reduce schedule problems later if they simply placed the off day on Thursday. Dick Allen
QUOTE (balfanman @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) I still do not understand why they place a scheduled day off the day after opening day. People pay up and Opening Day is usually a sellout or close. Game 2, not so much. It's something done to protect the people who bought tickets specifically for Opening Day. flavum
To start: 6 at home 9 on the road 6 at home 10 on the road 6 at home 10 on the road 6 at home 9 on the road Seriously? Blow. It. Up.

Harry Chappas
Road sereis in April and May with no home series longer than 6 games and one of only 3 9 10 10 9 3 at home 6 (15 of 18 on the road) 6 6 Then only one series more than 6 games the rest of the way. Play a ton of home games in June, July, August.
