Soxplosion
Thomas has hit two gamewinning homeruns this season and Im sure hes had other big hits. As for Jackson, just dont get me started on that cheating piece of s***. He was in the Black Sox mess, and whether or not he helped and took money is unknown, but he had knowledge and allowed it to happen. But dont worry, Frank didnt win on a technicality. He was a better player anyways...

I have never said Frank isn't a good hitter. What you have to realize is Frank is not god and he does have faults. And Shoeless Joe was a better all around player than Frank. In 94 and 00, did anyone else show up? No! It wasnt his fault. He didnt do well but our failure wasnt because of his failure. I really dont care how good Jackson was, he was a cheater and I still doubt he was as good as Frank...

Rex Hudler
How come everyone has turned against Thomas, a legend and the greatest player to don the uniform for us ever? The man deserves respect! Very simply....... for one, you bash Loaiza while defending Thomas. If you want to say Loaiza choked, then suck it up and admit Frank didn't get it done either. April .237 5HR 9RBI May .264 5HR 13RBI Sept. .224 3HR 10RBI Frank hasn't been a model of consistency either. As y ou pointed out earlier, Franks big accomplishments were 41 HR and 102 RBI. Well those stats are a lot more common than a pitcher with 19 wins. There are a total of FIVE pitchers with 19 wins or more. There are a total of SEVEN players with 40 HR or more. There are a total of TWENTY-EIGHT players with 100 RBI or more.

Loaiza didn't pitch particularly well, which I characterize as choking after the season he had, but Frank came up with nothing.

Thats why I respect and love him but hate Loaiza... Why would you hate a guy who got us 19 wins this year? He pitched really well for most of the season. What did you expect from Loaiza at the beginning of the season? I expected about an 8-8 record. He sure made me happy.
Soxplosion
Let me explain something. Lets say were down 5-1 in the bottom of the ninth at Comiskey. We then score three runs and have the bases loaded with two outs and the final out is made. We lose 5-4. I hate that more than the 5-1 loss. In the 5-1 loss I was prepared to lose. But with the rally, it gets my hopes up and when they ultimately fail I f***in hate it. Without Loaiza, wed have been gone a long time agoand Id just be able to accept that it wasnt this year. But Loaiza singlehandedly gave us the ability for a rally and then he "made the final out". He didnt do that singlehandedly but he sure helped. And unlike Frank, whos been here 13 years to gain my utmost respect, Loaiza is just a one time wonder...

It made the season somewhat enjoyable. When you know your team sucks its not any fun. Can you imagine being a Detroit fan this year?

Being an idiot is better than being a bandwagoner... roman, take this for what it is worth....... Changing your opinion does not in itself make you a bandwagoner (is that a word? lol). Changing it daily or weekly based on performance would, however. But listening to others opinions, looking at facts and numbers and making a decision to change your opinion about a guy after careful thought, shows maturity, not the opposite. Being close-minded is a bad thing. Being open-minded and reasonable is what maturing and growing up is all about.

And even if I did accept that, I still just dont like Loaiza... To each their own..... But I will say this..... You would earn a lot more respect by admitting that you have re-evaluated your thinking and that perhaps you were wrong, than you would lose if you changed your mind. Refusing to admit to the obvious shows more ignorance than re-evaluating your position on something. You have the right to think how you want, but as you grow older, you will understand some of these concepts. Hopefully
