Ishmookie
This is my first time starting a game thread maybe it will start a winning streak and hopefully the yankees won't win the division title tonight.
whitesoxfan99
One week ago this board was full of excitement over the upcoming series with the Twins. Now we're playing the role of spoiler. :fyou 2003 Chicago White Sox
winninguglyin83
only the strong survive adversity will only make an eventual victory sweeter IF any of us live that long -- I'm starting to wonder.
Bighurt52235
It would make it a little bit (but not much easier) if we kicked the Yanks ass.
CWSOX45
What a great way start to the night. Lead off homer by Soriano. 1-0 Yankees. :fyou NY CWSOX45

winninguglyin83
Are these last seven games really necessary? I'm serious. Half-priced tickets are overpriced by about 500 percent.
chosk8
The message I would send is not in our house. You clinch the division somewhere else. Then come Wednesday afternoon, after we sweep the Yankees, you tell them, you sons-a-b****es are luck we're not going to the playoffs 'cause that was a little taste of what would have happened. But that's just me. I know better.
KipWellsFan
Well they will clinch tonight so don't worry about it.
Flash Tizzle
Sweet double play turned by tony G. 2 outs.

Flash Tizzle
People actually showed up tonight, looks like a decent sized crowd. Seems as if Sox fans dont realize if they are in contention or not. I wouldnt even waste the money for a half price ticket to see this marquee matchup. winninguglyin83
Tony G 8 for 8 on steals on a surgically repaired knee make him the base-running coach
Wise Master Buehrle
Now why the hell couldn't Frank do that in the Minnesota series? Man, this sucks.
winninguglyin83
looks to me as if Maggs has changed his stance a bit more open than I remember it
Flash Tizzle
I knew this sort of s*** would happen. Once the sox realize they are out of contention they will attempt to change their hitting approach and it will work. Three hits by the sox in the first inning, one manufactured run, and there wasnt one home run.
Flash Tizzle
Another moron picked Paulie to hit for the cycle. He must get picked atleast one game a week.

whitesoxfan99
Typical White Sox, runner on third with less than two outs and he doesn't score. :fyou
Wise Master Buehrle
Is it just me, or is there sad depressing organ music after almost every pitch by Bartolo? It's like, whoa, they're acknowledging that this team has underachieved.
