aboz56
"I want to give them an environment where they can flourish," Manuel said. "My philosophy to them would basically be confront the game and not the stats, not worry about how many hits you got and how many RBIs you got and so forth." What a damn joke. It's too bad you don't know a damn thing about "the game" or how to manage it.
aboz56
Manuel, a .150 career hitter in 96 major-league games over parts of five seasons, has never managed at the big-league level. He does have minor league experience running a team at Indianapolis in 1991 and AA Jacksonville in 1990, where he was Southern League Manager of the Year. Now I realize why he couldn't motivate these guys. A career .150 hitter? What kinda expertise does he have to pass on? This is great and I can't wait til he gets canned. So long Ghandi. FlaSoxxJim
So apparently all you guys thought Terry Bevington was better? Time really does heal all wounds.

CubKilla
Southern League Manager of the Year...... Wally is in the Southern League....... Uh-oh One of the reasons why we got to hire "big" if JM gets canned and we are serious about winning a WS.

MurcieOne
For some reason, I think that Backman is going to be one of the next great managers... just not for the sox.

YASNY
I have nothing against JM. But, it's time to try a new approach. Fare thee well, JM.
