Are we just frustrated?

See, this is why I have said I hate your posts. Im not, and wasnt in "denial." But when the team when on its 8 game win streak, beat the Yanks 2 out of 3 in New York, Swept Minny here, and so on, I had alot of faith in the team. You on the other hand, whould make posts about the holes in the team. When Corpseball showed up again, you look like your a genius because you said you knew it all along.

I dont even know why im having this convo, because we basically all agree the team lacks disipline, and has holes to fill. Period.

okay so im NOT a genius for knowing all long, LMAO..........

You take the easy way out. If you were right, as it turns out you are, you throw 'I told you so's' all over the place. If you were wrong, than we're all happy and no one cares what you said.

Im dont hide either way. This wasnt an I told ya so response. I just thought it was amazing this Tony guy was saying the EXACT same things now , that i was saying 2 months ago, and I would get bashed for it over and over. ITs just comical.

He has simply changed his mind. Who cares if you thought that first, or he disagreed with your opinions months ago?

Ummm I do?

Why is it the most important thing in the world for you to be right? He disagreed, and now after seeing this team, he agrees with what you say. It's not wrong or illegal to change your views.

Its not important, really. Im used to it..... :P Its important for young kids to see things as they are , and not be in dreamland 24/7. I'm hoping he learned something.

He saw things as they are, and then you gave him problems about it. Why?

SO he will utilize his brain BEFORE the fact and not AFTER next time. It does yourself no good whatsover to realize the obvious, after the facts are in front of you. Tony is a nice kid and ive talked to him on PM several times. He just needs to learn to think with his head and not his heart.

This is how you are different than most other people. You seem like you can't enjoy anything, and nothing is good enough for you. A perfectionist, perhaps. I think that if you were a Mariners fan, you would have been complaining about the 2001 team that won 116 games (the most complete team I've ever seen) all year, and then thrown it in everyone's face when they lost in the A.L.C.S.

Perfectionist? Yeah probably, but only concerning myself. When it comes to outside things, im a realist. This sox team was and is mentally weak, and it was OBVIOUS to those who viewed it objectively. The attitude the you described is what seperates winners and losers. Do you think MJ was happy with just a finals appearance. Do you think Bonds is happy with just 500, or 600 home runs? And ABSOLUTELY i would have been pissed at 116 wins and nothing to show for it........only losers wouldnt.

Obviuosly.  What I was trying to say is that during the regular season, you would be finding problems with the team, and then let everyone know just how right you were.

Dude i didnt "find" anything and i want no credit. Those "problems" were obvious. Again, what i want is for guys like Tony, who i LIKE, to learn a lesson. ITs hard enough being a fan without having false hopes.

Big, Thank you for having my back. I didnt really want to get into an argument, because the issue isnt that important.

IMO Bmr, you do seem to be a sort of pessimist more than Realist, like you claim, but thats just what I see, and its nothing new, so im used to your point of view, and it just adds to the different personalties at Soxtalk.

There was a point at the season, when I thought this team could, and was going to go all the way. Im sure at one point, some of you also did. In baseball things can change very quickly. Just like my opinion of the team did after the last Twins series.

Pessimist but right? LOL sorry but that doesnt make one bit of sense. :nono

Bmr... don't break your arm while patting yourself on the back, brother. Predicting the Chicago White Sox to fall short is not exactly brain surgery.  :lolhitting

Exactly. If you read the whole thread you would see that i said that and my posts were directed at others thinking with their hearts, not my intelligence. :bang
