It is worth mentioning that these are the same intelligence agencies that gave us WMD's in Iraq.

Was wondering who would fall into this trap. The problem with comparing the "WMD" argument, is that whether or not Iraq had "WMD" is dependent on how you frame "WMD". In a former life, I argued hard against the invasion of Iraq on the basis that while Iraq likely had some chemical weapons, the "WMD" argument was in an attempt to fool the American public into believing that Iraq had something equivalent to a nuclear device or an active WMD program.

As it turns out, Iraq did have some chemical weapons, most of them being old and possibly useless, which depending on your definition, either proves or disproves that Iraq had "WMD".

So a good comparison would be:

Maybe there arent multiple Trump sex tapes, maybe not all of what the reports say are true, but that there is definitely SOMETHING there. It just may not be as much as was originally thought or it may be older.

Its amazing how quickly Republican supporters are circling the wagons. Instead of "Maybe we should investigate this" its "we cant trust the FBI/CIA because a long time ago the Republican party misled people."

In other "definitely not a Russian pawn" news, Tillerson is bumbling his way through his confirmation hearing and said that sanctions only hurt American businesses.

Also claimed that Exxon never lobbied on sanctions related to Ukraine or Russia, but they absolutely did

Good for Rubio asking tough questions to Tillerson on Russia.

"We have much hacking going on."

The eloquence of Obama to the stupidity of this man.

An unintelligent, legendarily petty, mentally ill man who may or may not but probably is owned by the Russian mafia/government (same thing really) will be the most powerful person in the world in 9 days.

Yeah, that was excellent and well-deserved push back.

Sessions is going to sail through unfortunately, but I'm not so sure about Tillerson.

I'm not at all ok with this.

lol paperwork props.

And it won't be a blind trust, it'll be run by his sons. The same sons he has sit in on all of his meetings. So it's not severing conflicts of interest at all, and probably still in violation of the emoluments clause. He's not going to divest from hotels, golf clubs, real estate properties, anything.

Trump's PR guy Sean Spicer started out the press conference by claiming Trump never met and didn't know Carter Page.

Whoops.

And now they're claiming that Trump divesting would actually be the REAL conflict of interest, you see! If Trump didn't want to deal with that, he didn't need to run for President.

Invoking God...will be the greatest jobs creator ever made by God?

What?

This is insane. Going after Podesta, taking shots at Hillary and the DNC for their security....nothing is surprising when the day began with comparisons to Nazi Germany.

That germaphobe comment to deflect from the golden showers?

Nobody cares about his taxes? It's only reporters, sure.

Stating over and over again he can't have a conflict of interest....no ties to Russia? Cmon.

Eric and Donald Jr. will never talk to him and will be sequestered in a soundproof booth?

You'd think he was giving a press conference for winning the Nobel Prize in every possible category. America is doomed.

It's Day -9 of the Trump Presidency. I don't know how he, or us, will survive this.

Its an ethics nightmare. He's going to get impeached.

Eh, historically speaking he probably wont even come close to top 10 worse leaders in history, maybe not even top 100. Certain people may suffer, but we will survive.
