username
So...where does Bregman play? Maybe Gurriel to First, but still.
Chisoxfn
4yrs and roughly 50M. That seems like a very reasonable deal.
bmags
Astros loading up good for us to put pressure on others.

Baron
Astros loading up...definitely looks like the owners approved that up in payroll request
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Username @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 04:59 PM) So...where does Bregman play? Maybe Gurriel to First, but still. What does that have to do with Reddick? If you are insinuating that the Astros may use him as a trade piece for Sale, I agree
Buehrle>Wood
I would have guessed closer to 100 million than 50 million for him.

He looked awful with the Dodgers. Looked way skinnier and no bat speed

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 03:35 PM) He looked awful with the Dodgers. Looked way skinnier and no bat speed You don't just produce like he did for the first half with Oakland and stink. You have injuries / other things. LittleHurt05
I hear Reddick's name, I think very good player. Then I watch him play and see his stats, and think maybe not. He was a dreadful pickup for the Dodgers
Panerista
QUOTE (Dunt @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 05:35 PM) It must be awesome to have a competent front office yup. They were bad bad bad. They had a game that got a zero rating. They haven't won anything, but there's a lot to be excited about in Houston.

Bob Sacamano
Sooo assuming Springer and Reddick hold down the corners and McCann and Gattis share DH and Gurriel being paid to likely play third with other options able to play 1B, where does Bregman fit? They should really step on the necks of the AL West and trade for Sale.

Push Melky and Robertson and Jones in July. But I'm an advocate of the partial tear down. Edited November 18, 2016 by GreenSox
Dick Allen
In 104 AB vs. LHP, Reddick hit .155 with no extra base hits. He's happy the league is mostly right handed.

Nope. I advocated trading Eaton last winter to fill 2 holes. That's still a possible approach. I've never favored the Hahn proven veteran approach, however. So if the choice is Hahn ball or tear down I would favor complete tear down, because Hahn ball is a failure. Bregman is my favorite of all of these top prospect already in the majors possible, although unlikely, targets.
