caulfield12
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/the-education...WQDBHNlYwNzcg-- Wanted to repost the original Passan article that gives more of a "real feel" for Moncada, his background, and what to expect... He takes walks and "the poor man's Mike Trout" are obviously two things to be excited about. Edited December 6, 2016 by caulfield12
Soxnfins
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) And I do have to say I got a perverse joy out of the perception that Washington busted ass building a deal only for Boston to swoop in at the end to beat it. Payback for Edwin Jackson/Adam Dunno. Screw Rizzo. Now try and deal Q to them, but ask for the same package.
WilliamTell
Wow. I don't know my prospects as well as many of you. So I'll listen to you all in regards of their talent, but it's sad to see him get traded away. Maybe it'll work out in the following years to come. Condor13
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 01:28 PM) I can't help but being disappointed. It's not even about the return. It's the fact that the greatest pitcher in the history of the White Sox and my favorite player is no longer on the team. I agree completely
southsider2k5
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Moncada starts with the Sox next year, correct? Any chance he starts in AAA? In a rebuilding situation, I would love to see him start in AAA until he passes the mark that would give us an extra year of control. Literally there is no good reason for him to be on the opening day roster.
Real
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) Moncada is the #1 prospect in all of baseball so.... He's a PROSPECT

southsider2k5
QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) I am with you. This may be what was needed but its still a sad day in my eyes. Definitely this. I love Sale, but learned my lesson when Ventura was a free agent and the Sox lowballed him.
Quin
Anyone disappointed with this needs to scale back and realize we acquired a near MLB ready, #1 prospect in baseball that is one of the highest regarded ever. Hopefully more is on the way, but Hahn got his "untouchable". Bummed to see Sale go - he's a Top 5 Sox pitcher all time, definitely most talented. But the rebuild has begun. iamshack
That dude was right on the money this morning. Wanted a better second piece than Kopech, to be honest, but I am excited to begin cheering on Mr. Yoan Moncada! Let the rebuilding begin!
