I'm a little over half way through "The OA" on Netflix, I think I like it so far but it's hard to say without having finished it yet.

My wife and I watched a few episode of "Roadies" over the holidays, eh not that good.

OA was pretty good. Watched it in one day. Not as good as Stranger Things.

OK guilty pleasure watch... The Scientology series on A&E is just insane. Is anyone else watching? The wife and I pretty well binged it during break after discovering it.

I haven't seen that but the HBO doc was pretty good and also mind blowing.

I saw that as well. This takes that a step further, and really gets into more specifics of individuals lives and much more detail on how the church operates. I am sure that a fair amount of this is being played up for TV, but even if only half of it is true, that is one messed up organization.

WTF that's like 10 hours.

People confuse me. There's LIFE TO LIVE.

Had the the flu, s*** my brains out, slept and watched the series intermittently each over 36 hours.

It is 8 episodes totals probably less than 8 in total. One is only a half hour.

The HBO documentary was really good and the BBC did one as well that was much more in depth than A&E's.

Finished the OA last night, was a little disappointed on how it ended. Felt like some things weren't addressed. Overall I'd give it a 6.

Agree 100% leaves door open for season 2 but it dragged enough at the end that a nice wrap would have been better. I'd almost rather leave it up to one's interpretation as my wife and I had differing ideas.

SSK...just caught up on Designated Survivor. I also like the characters and you were spot on about the shooting at the end (I forgot your spoiler by the time I got to it). There is just some really horrendous writing in there that makes it unwatchable and the 1980's cliffhanger is kind just icing on the cake. The fact that so many folks can get shots at the president rather easily is terrible. I like the premise so and hope it ends after one season. The writing is not good enough to continue past.

Finally gave up on Always Sunny after watching a few eps of season 11 on Netflix. Felt like a chore to get through with too few laughs. Should have ended the series a while ago.

I couldn't even finish the first season on Netflix.

Ah, I still think its got laughs but its ending soon. I talked to Rob a few months ago and they are surprised they are still on. So while they are they are taking the money I assume while most of them have movies or other shows.

First two eps were pretty dull. Doubt I'll stick with it.

Stick with it. It gets better each episode. The second season is some of the best TV I've seen. The first season lays the groundwork for what happens in the second season.

I agree it is good, that said, Brian, based upon the stuff I've seen you like / not like, I don't think Man in High Castle is for you.

Not sure what that means but I'll go back again when I have time.

Not a knock...it is kind of like if I was watching Will Ferrell movie or a Tarantino flick, someone should just tell me, don't waste my time. In this case, Man in High Castle's general pace is pretty slow moving without a major end-play. I might be wrong, but I don't recall you being a fan of "lost" and while this isn't "lost". After two seasons, I enjoy it, but I still don't know where it is going (that said, I'm a sci-fi junkie and while this isn't sci-fi, it is almost like sci-fi mixed with alternate history and I enjoy history a ton too).
