Easy to see how with all the talent on the farm but I think Adolfo's season has gone a bit under the radar. Despite the K's he made some nice progress this year. Might see Robert in CF and Adolfo in RF for Kanny next year. Should be a fun Kanny team next year.

Why would Alolfo spend another season in Kannapolis? He'll most certaintly get moved up to A+ to start 2018.

Here's how I see the OFs shaking out to start the year, although I think there will be a lot of early promotions.

Birmingham

LF - Fisher

CF - Polo

RF - Jimenez

4th - Hawkins

Winston-Salem

LF - Rutherford

CF - Basabe

RF - Adolfo

4th - Call

Kannapolis

LF - Gonzalez

CF - Robert

RF - Dedelow

4th - Mercedes

I'd prefer to see Polo at Charlotte, Fisher in WS, and Rutherford in KAN

It's so nice to see Hawkins not starting! :D

Have to imagine 2018 is his final shot to get it going, same for Barnum, boy did our '12 class SUCK:

http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/team/draft...s&year=2012

I proudly wanted Stroman or Giolito where Hawkins went pre-draft but also Seager, Wacha, Naquin, and Brinson went after Hawkins

Barnum's round just completely sucked league wide

Beck, Demichele, Hansen, Johnson, Coats... Yuck

Jordan Guerrero may remain the only legitimate contribution

I just think that Adolfo's BA and K's would have him start in Kanny to begin the season. But, with the log jam of outfielders in both A ball levels, there's not much room to work with so one or two guys will have to move up. IMHO, Rutherford needs to start in Kanny and I think that's what happens if Robert impresses next spring. Adolfo and Basabe could help ease Robert's transition to playing ball in the US while it gives Rutherford time to find a groove at Kanny.

Funny you mention Hawkins. Not that he has earned a promotion but with the OF talent the Sox have at AA and below, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox force him to Charlotte. It's s*** or get off the pot time for Hawkins and I think the Sox patience has about run out on Hawkins. He's on borrowed time.

May as well put him on the mound at this point, it's not happening in the outfield.

Gotcha. I take it Rutherford is the guy you wanted in the draft?

Going into the draft I wanted Ray. Of the players still available at the time of the pick, yes, Rutherford was my top choice. I'm stoked now with how everything has transpired :headbang

I can also see the Sox potentially shocking us by starting Eloy in AAA/moving him there by the end of April

Or he could end up being one one of those prospects who spends about a week in AAA before coming to the majors or skipping AAA all together. Of course, this is after spending a good chunk of the season at AA.

I agree. AA is the bigger test to me. If he's raking in Birmingham, Charlotte will be nothing but biding time.

No way they don't protect him.

That was my exact thought when I read that. I already have him penciled in on the 40, along with Eloy Jimenez for obvious reasons.
