Grilling you on the particulars of a potential presidential candidate in an election that is 3.5 years away that you speculatively support given what you know at this point is worth a lot of SS's energy. That's an exciting task on a Wednesday for him.

friendly reminder

So, by adding a post to this thread acknowledging these guidelines, you are stating the following...

1. I will not insult other posters, directly or indirectly

2. I will not threaten anyone, even in jest

3. I will not bait people or push them over the line (a.k.a. pushing their buttons)

4. I will not post statements for the purpose of angering others

5. I will not prod posters repeatedly on a subject or chase them across topics to make a point

6. I will try to make posts that actually add to the discussion at hand

that post seems to break all of them but #2.

It's an attempt to insult or anger me or at least push my buttons. That's 1, 3, or 4. You've made a similar whine before; that's 5. It obviously adds nothing to the discussion other than a cheap shot you can't seem to resist taking at posters you don't like, so that's 6.

You can't seem to handle posting back here without randomly insulting other posters and dragging them into conversations they're not even a part of. Or, as in this case, jumping into a conversation you're not a part of to add nothing other than an insult.

I don't enforce rules around here! That you're a mod who can't seem to help getting into constant slap fights and bringing up other posters to whine about them when they're not even part of a particular conversation is what makes it all the more pathetic. None of the other more conservative mods or posters back here seem to have the same constant problems with so many posters that you do.

What was your post supposed to add to the conversation? What post of mine were you actually commenting on rather than trying to insult me for getting paid while posting a bunch on SoxTalk.com? Since I don't follow other posters around here to drop irrelevant insults about how frequently they post, what they talk about, etc. that's not really mirror posting or using my verbiage. That's just you being a dick because you don't like me and saw an opportunity to make another cheap shot.

See, that deflection just doesn't work so well when you're the one poster who is getting into fights with many other people. Things have certainly gotten heated back here from time to time, but in the 10+ years I've been posting back here, I don't recall anyone who so consistently picked fights like you do. Jenks and ss2k5 and me and BS and SB and NSS and others have been arguing back here for years and, yeah, sometimes it gets snippy and snarky and a little more aggressive than it should, but your behavior is pretty unique. I don't think I'm the only one who's noticed this, either, but maybe I'm wrong on that account.

Would the Bernie wing rather have Michael Bloomberg, Schultz, a a split ticket with a traditional politician on the top and let's say Mattis/McMaster on the bottom (assuming that terrorism, Iran, Syria, North Korea isn't solved, lol)...or Trump again, assuming he's not impeached?

All those scenarios force you to vote against Trump or Pence/Ryan...whoever is left.

Looking at U.K., progressives like Corbyn are neutered when the issue of the day turns to the war on terror...true of Sanders, as well.

Did you just... sort of defend me? There's hope for us yet, dammit. :)

As someone who's an expert in Rabbit attacking him, I have to agree with him on this one..... I don't see anything wrong with what he posted.

It's pretty simple - treat others how you want to be treated. Don't run around bullying and condescending like you do all day and cry when you get the same back. The parallels between you and Trump's personality types are uncanny.

Have a good one.

The rules should be, "Behave like Greg." Very people seem to respect the fact I have never come close to attacking anyone even though I have been insulted quite often in posts. I wish more people would back my positions. There are a lot of lurkers who are silent that agree with some of my positions, I am convinced of that. In real life, many agree with me when I present my theories.

Greg, I think you are generally a very respectful poster. But I really wish you would actually educate yourself on some of the stuff you talk about. Like with Rush Limbaugh. You know that Limbaugh has made his money as an entertainer that goes after the Democrats and the Left right? He's not a respected guy on policy. He's a shock jock. He's the Jay Marriotti of Conservative talk radio. Just because Limbaugh is popular does not mean that anyone should take him or his opinions seriously.

Thank u Illinilaw. Did you see my post on my Limbaugh listening habit? I don't really listen to him much. Some, yes? I think he's fairly entertaining, don't like the incessant commercials and actually won't put up with them.

But you come here and you post Limbaugh's opinions on Trump and then make comments about how maybe Trump is actually doing really, really well. No one is going to take you seriously if you post Limbaugh's opinions. And I just want to make sure that you understand why that is...

Or Meghan McCain...or Hannity, etc.

Try watching BBC for one month, or Al Jazeera.

Meghan McCain must have given up her radio show. It's not on here anymore. Haven't heard much of Hannity lately. His radio show comes on about 2 out here and I'm all done with lunch hour driving by then.

Lots of parallels with Bernie Sanders

https://www.yahoo.com/news/labours-corbyn-s...-110040089.html

While May portrayed Corbyn as untrustworthy and out of touch with average voters, Labour painted the Conservatives as the party of the rich and special interests. Labour's pitch was summed up in the slogan "For the many, not the few."

That translated into proposals to raise taxes on corporations and the wealthy, while increasing funding for schools and the National Health Service. Labour appealed directly to young people by promising to scrap university tuition fees and suggesting it might cancel debts run up by recent graduates. The party also said railroads, water companies and the Royal Mail should be returned to public ownership.

Turnout figures by age have not yet been released, but Ipsos MORI said 77 percent of people 24 and younger planned to vote in this election, compared with 55 percent during the last election two years ago.

Young people have borne the brunt of austerity measures embraced by Conservative-led governments since 2010, said Tim Bale of Queen Mary University of London.

"They're worried about housing, tuition fees, the gig economy, stable jobs — it's no surprise they are fed up," he said.
