Without Q, we are looking at a rotation of:

Rodon

Shields

Gonzalez (maybe he can get flipped mid-season)

Holland

One of Covey, Beck, or other

Starting lineup would be:

C Narvaez, Soto

1B Abreu (could be traded but seems unlikely)

2B Lawrie, Moncada second half unless he is doing terrible at AAA

3B Frazier (could be traded mid-season)

SS Anderson

LF Melky (could be traded mid-season)

CF Tilson, Liriano

RF Garcia, Liriano

DH Davidson? Garcia or probably more likely a late MLB signing (Carter, Lind, Alvarez)

Pretty much. yah. Hopefully Saladino gets a good chunk of ABs as well.

I would like him at 2B, personally.

Edit: don't think it was posted here but a writer on mlb.com (I think it was) listed Saladino as a good trade option at 2B for the Dodgers referencing his WAR and defense.

I don't care about Beer right now. My hope is the Sox make quality trades to the point where they have the worst AL record in 2017 with a losing interleague record. If that means they draft 2-5 in 2018, so be it.

You have reasonable expectations. The key to future success may or not be one guy (probably not), but we know for sure the way to maximize future success is to add talent through the draft. Right now, that will likely take one or two losing seasons and some strong draft selections.

Well the outfield corners are $7 Mon-Sat and $5 on Sundays. They also open the 100 level if attendance is under 25,000 so I basically took advantage of that whenever I had to pay for games. Nothing beats paying $7 and sitting behind the dugout.

I remember the halcyon days of late 2013 when it became clear the White Sox would get the #3 pick and not the #1 pick and how badly they screwed up by costing themselves the chance at the clear #1 pick, Carlos Rodon.

It's not good to count on the teams in front of you to be stupid.

I argued the Cubs were lucky Houston picked Appel before Bryant. I was told Appel was the clear #1 choice.

Beer might be a HOFer. We won't know for a while, but those thinking if the Sox tank and get the #1 pick the next 2 seasons, those guys will be the baseball version of Michael and Lebron, and will almost immediately be stars, are probably reaching
