Haha that's pretty funny. Haven't you described yourself as something along the lines of "a low IQ person"? I'm pretty sure ive seen you post that about yourself. I suppose Forrest Gump isn't a bad comparison. He was a well accomplished man ya know, Greg.

No, I'd never imply I was dumb. I actually have a high IQ and did well on all the standardized testing and coursework. I may be a political novice or simpleton though. I don't follow it that quickly. But I am not dumb at all nor am I slow. I can think on my feet quickly, etc. Politically I am not on top of all the issues.

I don't hate you Greg. I think you are a little nuts sometimes, but no hate. I don't even hate StrangeSox or Squirt. i don't necessarily LIKE them, but no hate. Just for Hillary. ;)

It is amazing like you said that a lot of women think it's OK they voted for Hillary just cause she is a woman but we're evil for not voting for her just cause she's a Clinton or just cause she's evil.

I'm certain you are wrong about this.

There's been a decade-long anti-Hillary campaign going on within conservative media. And it worked! She "screwed up" twice and that's all conservative media will ever talk about when it comes to her. Benghazi and emails, that's basically what it comes down to. I have no idea how certain people can despise her so much. I never liked Bush, but I don't think I ever hated him. Same goes for McCain and Romney. Whatever the conservative media is doing, it's working. They're somehow making people hate democrat politicians with a flaming passion.

Try since health care fiasco, Whitewater and huge profits on insider commodity tip.

This goes all the way back to 1980's, when they accused of authorizing drug cartel flights into Mena, AR, and murdering Vince Foster.

Hillary even called it the vast right wing conspiracy to destroy her, but it didn't take nearly as well as Trump's tactics.

Bingo.

What i was saying about propaganda is that i don't think most adults over 30-35 believe all this hype about increasing racism, misogyny, white supremacy etc. That's complete bulls***. Sure it riles up really young adults, especially on college campuses, but seasoned adults in general are just out in the world trying to cooperate with everybody else. I know a bunch of people of all backgrounds, can't think of a single racist. Can't think of a single misogynist. Don't know any nazis. And I've been out there. My job every day is to go out there and meet new people of all classes and races. The hate isn't there. Just people out trying to make a few bucks for whatever reason. The only hate is at these marches and campuses- I live in a college town. The media spotlight on every isolated incident is not helping this country. Bad people gonna do bad things.

It's possible that Berkeley is at the center of this left wing "chaos/anarchy" group, but I'd have a hard time believing it's mostly university students who are the leaders or organizers.

If any fingers are to be pointed, it's at university professors who believe it's their responsibility to advocate for political positions as part of their instruction, rather than attempting to be objective and presenting both sides of an argument for students to make their own well-informed decisions. You shouldn't try to control or manipulate their beliefs as an adult, no matter how well-educated.

Great post. I agree people in real life are normal, just trying to make a buck as you say and make enough to live. Great post.

I know Greg bothers some people, but his obtuseness continually entertains me. I'd love to think this is some character he is playing for the internets, but, nope, I think he really thinks it - types it.

You took being called obtuse as a compliment. When Andy Dufresne called the warden obtuse, he got a week in the hole.

Maybe greg doesn't know what being obtuse means?

I thought it meant dull. I didn't care if somebody thought I was dull.

Good movie.

It was meant as it was used in "Shawshank." It's not meant as stupid or anything. Just a little thick headed.

I truly do find Greg entertaining. Greg posts "x." Someone will post a link that disproves it (as much as any link can or should be trusted). Then, Greg will change his position. I actually appreciate that he is willing to change because it would be nice if others did budge, even a little, from time to time.

I actually think Greg's position is that he is sick of the establishment Dems and Reps, and that is why he likes the outsiders (Trump, Obama, Sanders) who were not the traditional candidates when they ran. I think Greg is really a third party, independent candidate type, but I can't for the life of me understand how he seems to be ok with Trump the President. Trump the ideal (outsider, drain the swamp, make government efficient), I can see why Greg is drawn to that. But, Trump immediately did a 180 when he got in office and has changed almost everything that he stood for when he was running. I don't think any President has ever done this so quickly.

Anyway, nothing terrible was meant by the obtuse comment. Or, maybe I'd just like to avoid a week in "the hole." :P

Thanks for your post.

Somebody else quoted a line about stupid people, that's the one that made me mad. I'm no political expert but I'm not a stupid person. I'll match my standardized test scores, grades, etc., against anybody on here and I'd come out all right.

I am sick of the establishment. My stance on Trump is I want to give him a chance yet if he does something impeachable by all means dump his ass. Those of you who laugh and say he's already committed a ton of impeachable offenses, grow up please. If he has, I'm sure impeachment proceedings would begin.

The funny thing is Greg described himself as a Republican before Obama.

Trump has been nothing but a typical Republican in terms of his flip-flops and policy changes the last 2-3 weeks. Except for being softer on abortion than Pence (also, LGBTQ rights, due to Ivanka and Jared), there would be little or no difference between the two others than the tweets and SNL skits. (Well, they did make fun of Pence for never eating alone with another woman, so there's that.)

If you like GOP orthodox policies, he's now your man. Of course, NOT why he was elected at all.

This Korea thing is shaping up as an early test of Trump and the differences bet he and Democrat presidents. Trump appears to be ready willing and able to bomb Korea, which IMO is not a good idea. However I feel a vibe that he'll do something pretty radical. The Democrats IMO would never come close to pissing off china in this regard. Should be very interesting to follow this powerderkeg. It would be unwise for anybody to be visiting South Korea anytime soon. I feel like this is more serious than we're being led to believe right now.

Hillary Clinton made a name for herself in China and Russia speaking out against human rights violations and for women's rights.

She also advocated for bombing the airfield in Syria. That said, I think there's definitely a much more aggressive pose in terms of giving up on ultimatums and sanctions. There's finally a sense in 2019...2020, they'll actually have an operational nuclear ICBM striking the West Coast of the US.

For what it's worth, Bush's policies the last 2-3 years of his lame duck term were probably equally ineffective as Obama's.

Of course, you can argue they didn't start a war on the peninsula. Let's see what the Trump administration ends up choosing to do with the continued provocations. They've been so outspoken it will be hard to totally back down after all this belligerence in recent weeks.

We simply can't allow that crazy man to nuke the West Coast in a couple years. China has to realize we can't take that risk. If they don't help us out, global nuclear war is ahead like in War Games.

Do you think Kim just presses FIRE the minute a couple ICBMs are ready? I honestly don't know. I mean how much does he really care about the citizens of his country? I'd love to know. That's the key.

Becoming more clear why Trump's changed his tune on China. Gotta do what's best for the family business above all else.

The conflict of interest all around is astounding.

But the right is more interesting in more important things. Alex Jones now claims Obama's daughters aren't really his.

Yes. I think he will want to go down in infamy. The man who ended the earth as we know it. If a nuke hits the west coast, it's all over. We'll blow north korea off the map and China/Russia will combine to send more nukes to our mainland. I think China comes out the victor for world supremacy in this scenario and they probably will realize it.
