I just dont know what Joe can do here. If he responds, he is lowering himself to Trumps level(smh, "lowering yourself to the POTUS level" is a thing) and he looks bad, and if he doesnt respond, then Trump keeps repeating his lie as if it is real and people believe it and he looks bad

I don't know. I've always found Joe Scarborough to be an attention seeker, and business-wise he won't be hurt by this at all. Like 600 people watch morning news shows on cable. This will surely bump them up to like 900.

Speaking of domestic voter suppression, here's what Trump's "voter integrity" committee is actually up to:

https://twitter.com/vanitaguptaCR/status/880479649817649152

Requesting full voter rolls including name, last four of the social and party affiliation for every state for every voter going back to 2006. Laying the ground work for massive disenfranchisement. With control of most states and their stolen SCOTUS seat, they can put an awful lot of awful things in place to ensure they aren't held accountable by citizens at all.

All of this to solve the non-existent problem of voter fraud (will solve the real problem of people voting D though).

Good news on this is that a lot of states are coming out and saying they aren't going to comply with this request, even deep red states like Oklahoma. Trump's "voter integrity" committee is stocked with voter restriction advocates, so everything that slows them down is good.

It's been over 100 proven lies and its made no difference. People will blindly follow him no matter what.

It's cause he's a real guy that understands blue collar America from his golden tower with his name on it.

Whew.

Kobach, the pro-voter-suppression Kansas AG who's running this commission to end the very real problem of millions of illegal votes, just announced that Kansas will not be handing over the requested data.

Illegal?

We have this thing called the First Amendment, even for sitting presidents. It's not even a violation of Twitter rules.

Pretty much every adjective thrown out there to characterize it fits, though.

Trump's twittering is officially an embarrassment and/or illegal. He's bullying on there and mocking and threatening people.

He needs a national nickname involving Twitter.

I swear you are like 10 months behind the world

America, The Diminished

We are diminished when the rest of the world comes to doubt our leadership and reliability. A Pew poll of 37 countries ranging from Sweden to India to Brazil to Ghana shows attitudes toward the United States have collapsed since Trump took office. At the end of Obama’s presidency, 64 percent of people in these countries said they were confident in the US’s president. Today, that has fallen to 22 percent. Opinions of America overall have fallen by 15 points. The chancellor of Germany warned that Europe could no longer depend on the US.

Wat you mean? the Trump twittering issue regarding Morning Joe was still in the news the last couple days. It hadn't reached its 15 minutes yet when I commented on it.

My blood pressure stats would suggest otherwise.

That's what happens when you live in Kansas.

Kansas is just as mean and cut-throat as any other state. The Western part of the state should be its own rural State.

Lawrence is a nice liberal town with a trendy downtown (not as nice as Madisons obviously) only 40 minutes from KC. KC is a poor man's Chicago. Much smaller but a good sports complex, good Plaza area, good suburbs and growing downtown on the Missouri side (crossroads district by Sprint Center) and growing district in KCK by the racetrack/casinos.

I was just reading NY Magazine at the library asking folks to predict when Trump would be impeached and out of office. I was surprised only one of 10 respondees thought he'd be impeached/replaced.

I liked the lead in. NY Magazine suggested that "everybody" knows he's already obstructed justice and it's just a matter of getting something to stick. I laughed at that, but I'd also agree with it. He's pretty obstructionary IMO.

One guy predicted he'd have two terms then Pence would win BTW. Wild stuff.

Russia’s Putin, North Korea to challenge Trump overseas

Polish media reports say the government promised the White House cheering crowds as part of its invitation. Ruling party lawmakers and pro-government activists plan to bus in groups of people for Trump’s speech. The White House didn’t respond to a request for comment on the reports.

Lmao.

Democrats shouldn't want to impeach Trump.

Fortunately, he's incompetent so he won't get much done.

By the end of 4 years, folks will have gotten so sick of his antics and his circus administration that even the Democrats, who are complete idiots themselves, will make huge gains in congress in 2018 and will win back the WH in 2020.

You have a lot of faith in party that couldn't beat the worst Presidential candidate in modern history.
