The hillbillies that booed the Cowboys for kneeling before the anthem shows that the outrage was never about the flag or the anthem and has everything to do with race.

That "gesture" by the Cowboys last night was a big middle finger to the world from Jerry Jones showing everybody that he's still in charge.

Trump seems more interested in Puerto Rico's "massive debt" than saving lives. You would think massive debt would be a merit badge to him since he has so much himself.

Interesting that he didn't shame tweet Houston for their flooding. I wonder what's different in this scenario.

That was the main point Sharpe was making in this video. Why was this finally the line for NFL owners to show "unity"? Because they're wealthy men who don't like being told what to do and how to run their business. This is morphing from being about police injustice into being about Trump or free speech. edit: what Jenks said above, too

Good statement from Shannon Sharpe on all of the hypocrites in the NFL now taking a stand against him

WASHINGTON – Federal officials are planning to collect social media information on all immigrants, including permanent residents and naturalized citizens, a move that has alarmed lawyers and privacy groups worried about how the information will be used.

This is pretty f***ed up. Collecting social media data on even naturalized US citizens?

So Puerto Rico is practically begging for help. The Sec of State in Texas said all they needed were prayers, yet only US ships into Puerto Rico, but waivers for Texas.

Gee, I wonder why. Puerto Rico needs to be able to vote and get a bit whiter,

Except Texas isn't really that white, but OK. They only have the second biggest Hispanic population percentage in the US and about 10 million Hispanic residents.

Oh I know, they try to keep them from voting, but they have white people so you have to bite the bullet , and have some electoral votes. f*** em if they can't vote for you. Great policy.

With Trump... you almost hit on the right answer.

The voted for him.

So why would it hurt to relax some rules and let foreign ships in a little easier to help these people if Trump doesn't want to spend the money for no votes at the end of the day?

He's practically treating Puerto Rico as a foreign country anyways.

yep

It kind of makes you wonder what would happen if something horrific happened in Chicago. Didn't vote for him, Sanctuary city. Doesn't like the mayor.

I guess NYC would be OK aid wise since his home is there even though they voted against him 9-1. They knew the con.

I just wonder how he is going to pay for these "tremendous" tax cuts he's selling now. Is getting rid of loopholes that lower your tax burden, so you wind up paying the same amount or more of tax really a tax cut? He'll sell it as one, and the idiots with their made in China Trump swag will buy it.

It's (partially) raising the bottom rate from 10% to 12%.

but as we saw from dumping an extra $89 billion into the Pentagon recently without a single person asking "But how will we pay for?!", nobody actually cares about the debt or the deficit except as a cudgel to beat the opposition's policies with.

Whatever they do, the richest of the rich will get a nice break, someone who can't afford to be screwed will get screwed, and they will claim they will be paid for by some BS which will only increase the debt, something republicans have said over and over again can't happen, but in true republican style, it can happen if they get the benefit.

It would be used as a political tool about race.

Here's an interesting point IMO.

Trump may be one of the most unpopular individuals in US history. Right now he's pretty much despised by all people around the world and all Americans.

Yet in a total 2017 non sequitir, he won the election for President of the United States. I won't take a pot shot at his esteemed opponent (again; it's well documented by me why I feel Trump prevailed) but only in 2017 can this happen. By that I mean a truly despised individual winning the oval office.

He's pretty much drawn the ire of every country's leader outside the USA. The U.S. sports world and its legion of fans despise him. Everybody hates Trump except for his family. The people who work for him can't possibly like him. Now they like having a job and all that, and properly kiss his butt (as we see in the working world every day) but everybody despises this man and yet just a few months ago he won the presidency.

Oh my gosh, what a world we live in.

p.s. Somebody tell Donald to kill his twitter account. After a week he'll feel better not being on Twitter.
